Musicians Who Have Streamed With Kai Cenat

The record-breaking Twitch streamer has already amassed an impressive list of guest stars from the worlds of rap, R&B and pop. Kai Cenat & Ice Spice Courtesy Photo From Billie Eilish to Ice Spice, the 2000s babies have been making their presence known across the entertainment industry over the past few years. Bridging the worlds of Twitch livestreams and music is 21-year-old streamer and content creator Kai Cenat. Back in August 2023, Cenat made national headlines when a giveaway he organized in Union Square, Manhattan, devolved into a riot that injured several people and damaged countless pieces of property. Cenat was taken into custody by the NYPD and charged with first-degree rioting, inciting a riot, and unlawful assembly. 65 of the hundreds of people present were arrested for the participation in the riot. While the unfortunate failure of his giveaway gifted many people their first introduction to Kai Cenat, the streamer’s 23 million-strong follower total across social media platforms proves how deeply he and his content have penetrated both Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Hailing from The Bronx, New York, Cenat is the most-subscribed Twitch streamer of all time, and the winner of streamer of the year at the 12th Annual Streamy Awards. Cenat has also crossed over into music, releasing several like 2022’s “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche” (with NLE Choppa) and this year’s “Dogs” (with IShowSpeed). This May, Cenat performed the intro for the Fast X soundtrack, which peaked at No. 79 on the Billboard 200. Kai Cenat’s combination of comedy, gaming, and music, specifically hip-hop and R&B, have helped him grow into one of the most influential content creators for the next generation — and that hasn’t gone unnoticed by some of music’s biggest stars. Spurred by a genuine love for Cenat and knowledge of his powerful social media reach, several key artists across contemporary hip-hop, pop and R&B have streamed with the cross-platform powerhouse. Here’s a list of musicians who have streamed and collaborated with Kai Cenat: Lil Uzi Vert Kai Cenat was one of the many social media personalities that made cameos in Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock” music video, and the streamer was able to turn that experience into some exclusive behind-the-scenes content featuring the Philly rapper. Throughout the video, Uzi takes Cenat through the making of their 2023 MTV VMAs-nominated music video. This year (Feb. 11), “Just Wanna Rock” became Uzi’s seventh Hot 100 top ten hit from 106 total entries. They have also three No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, including Pink Tape, which became the first hip-hop album to top Billboard’s marquee albums chart in 2023. Drake During a livestream with 21 Savage last November, Drake joined via FaceTime and pledged to pay Kai Cenat $121,000, provided that he beat 21 Savage in a game of NBA 2K. “But, if 21 wins, then me and you have to do something for the kids … We have to go and give back,” the “Search & Rescue” rapper said. Drake has earned 11 No. 1 hits on the Hot 100 from 298 entries. He most recently visited the summit alongside Future and Tems with last year’s “Wait For U.” On the Billboard 200, the hip-hop icon has sent twelve titles to the top of the chart, including last year’s joint album with 21 Savage, Her Loss. Adele Alright, so technically, Adele didn’t really stream with Kai Cenat, but she did make a brief appearance on his broadcast! In April, the streamer linked up with sports agent Rich Paul, and his girlfriend, none other than Grammy-winning superstar Adele, FaceTimed him during the stream. “Hi, darling!” Adele said to a shell-shocked Cenat, as he peered over Paul’s shoulder. Adele has earned five No. 1 hits on the Hot 100, including “Someone Like You” and “Easy on Me.” On the Billboard 200, the British powerhouse has sent three consecutive albums to the chart’s summit. Bobby Shmurda Kai Cenat has collaborated with “Hot N—a” rapper Bobby Shmurda on multiple occasions. From blind dates to dance lessons, the two New York stars have provided a steady stream of content for both of their fan bases. In one video, Cenat even “returned” the snapback Bobby famously threw in the air in his much-memed “Hot N—a” music video. Bobby Shmurda has charted a trio of tracks on the Hot 100: “Hot N–a” (No. 6), “STOOPID” (No. 25, with 6ix9ine), and “Bobby Bitch” (No. 92). NLE Choppa “Walk Em Down” rapper NLE Choppa and Kai Cenat are frequent collaborators across streaming and music. From sleepovers to double dates, content from the pair’s link-ups appears on both of their official YouTube channels. Last year, the “Shotta Flow” rapper even guested on Kai’s debut single, “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche.” The song’s official music video has amassed over 12 million views on YouTube. NLE Choppa has earned 12 entries on the Hot 100, the highest of which is this year’s “Slut Me Out” (No. 28). On the Billboard 200, the Memphis rapper has notched one top ten title from five entries, 2020’s Top Shotta (No. 10). Nicki Minaj In May, hip-hop icon Nicki Minaj joined Cenat for a joint Instagram Live, which she referred to as a “semi-episode of Queen Radio.” During the live, Minaj promised to “definitely come by” Cenat’s show, and the streamer listened intensely as she explained the concept of astrological star signs and gave him some romance advice. Nicki Minaj has earned a whopping 132 entries on the Hot 100, including the No. 1 hits “Super Freaky Girl,” “Say So” (with Doja Cat), and “TROLLZ” (with 6ix9ine). Lil Baby Last October, superstar rapper Lil Baby joined Cenat for a stream, in which the collaborators flaunted their immediate success on the Twitch charts and lamented about the popular dance crazes they still had to learn. For Baby, the two dances he wanted to learn were the griddy and getting sturdy. Lil Baby has earned 13 top ten hits on the Hot 100, from 136 overall entries. On the Billboard 200, the

Jewel Defends Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Inauguration Performance

Jewel is defending her polarizing choice to perform at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Inauguration Day ball while apologizing to those whose feelings she may have hurt in the process. In an Instagram video posted Friday (Jan. 24), the singer/songwriter explained that her appearance at the politician’s “Make America Healthy Again” event four days prior had been in line with her work as a “mental health advocate,” noting that she’d previously worked with “the last administration” to discuss mental health policy. “Mental health affects everybody’s lives across party lines,” Jewel says in the clip. “If I wait to try until I agree 100% with the people that might be willing to help me, I’d never get off the bench. I don’t think that’s how activism works, waiting until everything’s perfect enough to participate. … We have to act now. We cannot wait another four years. “I believe there are people in the new administration who are willing to help on this issue,” she continued, emphasizing that she doesn’t “agree with all of the politics” RFK Jr. has championed. “If I can help shape policy, make sure mental health is in the conversation … I’m going to try and I’m going to fight.” On the same day Donald Trump was sworn into his second White House term, Kennedy — whom the president appointed as his cabinet’s secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services — was honored at the Make America Healthy Again Inaugural Ball. Jewel, who started her Inspiring Children Foundation to target youth mental health issues more than two decades ago, performed “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” for the gathering. RFK Jr. is controversial for a number of reasons, including his anti-vaccine sentiments and platforming of various health-related conspiracies. To the people who were upset over her choice to align herself with the politician, Jewel said, “I am so sorry that some of my longtime fans feel I’ve let them down.” “I am so sorry I caused pain,” she added. “Especially the LGBTQIA community, because you guys are treasures. You make the world a better place.” See Jewel’s post below. Source link

Almost Monday’s ‘Can’t Slow Down’ Tops Alternative Airplay Chart

Almost Monday is No. 1 on a Billboard chart for the first time, with “Can’t Slow Down” jumping two places to the top of the Feb. 1-dated Alternative Airplay survey. Explore Explore See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news Previously, the song became Almost Monday’s first top 10 on Alternative Airplay. The trio earned its prior best with “Sun Keeps On Shining,” which peaked at No. 13 in December 2022. Its other appearances are rounded out by “Lonely People” (No. 26, 2021), “Live Forever” (No. 32, 2021) and “Only Wanna Dance” (No. 38, 2023). “Can’t Slow Down” reigns in its 26th week on the tally, capping the lengthiest run to No. 1 since September 2023, when Bad Omens’ “Just Pretend” ruled in its 32nd frame. Concurrently, “Can’t Slow Down” holds at its No. 11 high on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with 2.6 million audience impressions, up 2% week-over-week, according to Luminate. Almost Monday’s previous best, “Sun Keeps On Shining,” reached No. 43. “Can’t Slow Down” has become Almost Monday’s first song with crossover chart action; it rises to a new No. 32 best on Adult Pop Airplay in its third week and is bubbling under Pop Airplay. The song is the lead single from DIVE, Almost Monday’s debut full-length, released on Hollywood Records. Released last September, it has earned 30,000 equivalent album units to date. The act – Cole Clisby, Dawson Daugherty and Luke Fabry – formed in San Diego in the mid-2010s and opened for AJR on tour last year. It has U.S. dates lined up through February, followed by European shows through July. All Billboard charts dated Feb. 1 will update Tuesday, Jan. 28 on Billboard.com. Source link

Best Dance Songs of the Week

This week in dance music: We unloaded a season’s worth of data, tracking the most played artists and tracks from Hï Ibiza in 2024 and the most played artists and tracks from its sister club, Ushuaïa. We spoke with Kygo about how he once considered quitting tour but is now on his biggest run to date, and we spoke with London-based producer Nimino, Billboard‘s inaugural dance Rooke of the Month. Over in announcement land, Anyma added an additional four shows to his Sphere run, Tomorrowland 2025 released a characteristically oversized lineup and Rüfüs du Sol announced a benefit show for Los Angeles wildfire relief happening in March in Hollywood. As a bonus, people were extremely peeved that the techno heavy Challengers soundtrack wasn’t nominated for best original score at the Oscars. And finally, as always, these are the best new dance tracks of the week. Empire of the Sun feat. Lindsey Buckingham, “Somebody’s Son” For a variety of obvious reasons, there simply isn’t enough (i.e. any) new music by Fleetwood Mac these days. Empire of the Sun give it their best shot though on “Somebody’s Son,” a collaboration with none other than Lindsey Buckingham, a longtime friend of the art electronic duo. The song gives Christine McVie vibes at their airy brightest, with the song essentially functioning as a hymn to California, a place that can certainly use some extra TLC right now. A bonus track on the new deluxe edition of Empire of the Sun’s July album, Ask That God, “Somebody’s Son” comes with a characteristically upscale psychedelic video. Horsegiirl, v.i.p. – very important pony Few artists have committed to a character so thoroughly as Horsegiirl, the Berlin-based producer who never removes her horse mask, gives interviews only in horse character and writes all lyrics from the equine perspective. What may sound conceptually impenetrable again proves to function not only well, but with humanity, with the release of Horsegiirl’s debut EP, v.i.p. – very important pony. Out on ThreeSixZero Recordings, the six-song project contains the previously released “eat, sleep, slay” and “take it offff” (a pick for our top 50 best dance songs of 2024.) On the newly released “material hor$e” (which is perhaps a 21st century homage to “Material Girl”), the producer posits that “maybe, there’s more to life than farming in the daily” before running down the things she enjoy (diamonds, big checks) all over a tight 94 seconds. Shygirl feat. PinkPantheress and Isabella Lovestory “True Religion” The considerable momentum Shygirl summoned in 2024 continues this year with “True Religion,” a bumping and darkly sensual single that comes with added firepower in the form of features from PinkPantheress and reggaeton artist Isabella Lovestory, who delivers an absolutely schorching verse. “True Religion” is from the English artist’s forthcoming project Club Shy Room 2, out Feb. 28th via Because. Tracy Young, Niki Harris & Donna De Lory, “Last Night a DJ Saved My Life” Madonna’s longtime backing vocalists Niki Haris and Donna De Lory, who spent 15 years on the road with Her Madgesty, link with Tracy Young, a longtime Madonna remixer, for the slinky “Last Night a DJ Saved My Life.” An update of Indeep’s 1982 dance classic, the vibe here is pure South Beach, with Young (who won a best remixed recording Grammy in 2020 for her edit of Madonna’s “Rise”) layering up rhythm guitar and loads of spicy percussion. Over all this, Niki and Donna sing about how the right song, played by the right DJ, on the right dancefloor can send all your troubles directly down the drain. (We’ll take it.) Out on Ferosh Recordings, the single also comes with a pair of extended edits. Franc Moody, “Space Between Us” Amalgamating, as a press release says, “elements of psychedelia, pub rock and space exploration” the latest from English duo Franc Moody is a rousing and obvious yes. The revival style jam (by the pair made up of Jon Moody and Ned Franc) is soulful and warm, giving dance vibes without veering explicitly into club territory. The single is from Franc Moody’s forthcoming Chewing the Fat, a group’s third studio album out March 7 on Night Time Stories. Source link

Jody Whelan, Ian Thornton Preview Third Hello From the Hills Concert

Several roots-based music luminaries will perform to help aid various communities, as part of the third annual Hello From the Hills concert, slated Sunday, Jan. 26 at Nashville’s City Winery. Explore See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news Ruby Amanfu, Cory Branan, Hayes Carll, Brad Goodall, Silas House, Amanda Shires, Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke, and Jesse Welles are all set to take the stage at the intimate Music City venue, with author and storyteller House — most recently known for his work on Tyler Childers’ music video “In Your Love” — hosting the event. The annual Hello From the Hills concert was founded by Hope in the Hills and The Hello in There Foundation, with the past two concerts drawing performers including Jason Isbell, Tyler Childers, Shires, Sierra Ferrell, Wynonna Judd, Gabe Lee, and Amythyst Kiah. Event proceeds have made it possible for the event’s organizers to make over $100,000 in community grants over the past two years, benefiting organizations including Raphah House, Healing Institute, MusiCares and Musicians Recovery Network. Jody Whelan, Oh Boy Records managing partner and Hello in There Foundation board member and treasurer, tells Billboard, “I feel like at this event, it’s so much more than just a performance. You really see the heart of these performers. They are more than just artists, more than just songwriters. You get to see the love they have and the passion they have for different organizations and they see how it affects communities.” Hope in the Hills’ Ian Thornton tells Billboard, “Music is the thing that brings people together — that’s the business Jody and I are both in. We just know so many great artists and folks have been gracious about donating their time. Nobody gets paid for this. I think the mission in and of itself pushes them to want to be part of it.” This year, proceeds from the concert will benefit the veterans assistance programs Operation Stand Down Tennessee and Building Lives, as well as My Fathers House Nashville, which provides shelter, life skills and education to fathers who have faced homelessness, incarceration and other adversities. As well, merchandise sales will aid those impacted by the ongoing wildfires in the greater Los Angeles area. Hello From the Hills Courtesy Photo Whelan says, “It’s great to be able to reach into some of these smaller community-based organizations and support them. I love the big organizations that we support, but $10,000 can go really far to a small, local organization — and that equals, ‘We can help this many people.’ We try to invite people from the organizations that are benefiting to be there, so they can see it and talk about their work.” The Hello in There Foundation was established in 2021 by the family of the late singer-songwriter John Prine and is guided by message of Prine’s 1971 song “Hello in There.” In 2017, Hope in the Hills was launched by members of Tyler Childers’ team, as well as community members in Kentucky, with the aim of combatting the opioid crisis and supporting recovery throughout Appalachia. “I’ve long admired the work that Ian and the folks at Hope in the Hills and Healing Appalachia have done,” Whelan says. “The Prine Family started our foundation a few years ago and we’ve been close to them for a long time. So we thought, ‘Can we do something to work together?’ The way we formatted it was we each picked one charity that we felt served our mission and then came together and support another organization.” Whelan adds, “A lot of times, we let John’s songs kind of guide us. This year, it is focusing on veterans and those struggling with addiction, and John’s song ‘Sam Stone’ is a huge touch point. We think about the organizations and how it might tie in with the work that Hope in the Hills is doing. Once you start talking with these organizations, fighting addiction is such a big part of so many different organizations, even if it’s not their primary thing, like homelessness and addiction impacting veterans. Addiction is such a big topic and it affects lives in so many different ways.” Looking ahead, Thornton is positive about the continued acceleration of the event’s impact: “I’d like to keep this as an annual event coming to Nashville. We’ve talked about bringing it to other cities, too, because I love the idea of being able to help local community organizations in other cities, especially in this region. I don’t know when we’ll have time to do that, but it will happen soon. I don’t see us going into the virtual space anytime soon. We want to keep getting people in rooms, together in community, and sharing their stories.” Tickets are still available for this year’s Hello From the Hills at citywinery.com. Source link

Bad Bunny’s Rise to Superstardom

This week, Bad Bunny‘s Debí Tirar Más Fotos earned the peak position on the Billboard 200, ascending from its No. 2 debut last week. In the segment of Billboard Explains, we take a look at his meteoric rise to superstardom. With Debí Tirar, the Puerto Rican superstar leverages his unprecedented success to delve deeper into his cultural roots, creating an album that celebrates Latino heritage and connects with identity. “This is a very special album, and part of its purpose was to bring together generations in a different way; have grandchildren sharing the music with their parents and grandparents and celebrate their culture in a special way,” Bad Bunny told Billboard in an interview. Each of Bad Bunny’s albums marks a unique chapter in his narrative, showcasing significant strides in both his artistic and personal growth. His last four albums, particularly, have each impressively secured the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200. His 2023 album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, channeled an icy, trap-oriented sound, mirroring the artist’s feelings of isolation at the zenith of superstardom. Before that, Bunny found himself in a more summery mindset, as his 2022 album Un Verano Sin Ti radiated with beach vibes, encapsulating the lively rhythms and warmth that epitomize Caribbean life. In late 2020, amid the global pandemic, El Último Tour Del Mundo tackled themes of uncertainty and introspection — all four No. 1 albums masterfully produced by MAG and Tainy. Amid these hit releases, the Puerto Rican superstar also shone on global stages, sharing the spotlight with icons like Shakira and Jennifer Lopez at the 2020 Super Bowl, and turning heads at the Met Gala multiple times. From his early days posting tracks on SoundCloud in 2016 to achieving global acclaim in the last few years, Bad Bunny’s journey to stardom is an impressive trajectory of growth and influence. Billy Ray Cyrus’ Ex-Wife Firerose Says the ‘Truth Is Coming to Light’

Firerose is speaking out after her ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus’ widely criticized performance at a pre-inauguration event for Donald Trump left viewers concerned for his wellbeing. Explore Explore See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news “What’s being seen in public now reflects much of what I experienced in private during our relationship,” the singer told People of Cyrus. “It’s very sad to see those same struggles continue for him, but I’m glad the truth is coming to light — for his potential good because healing is only possible when you confront the truth and accept there’s a problem. For me, I remain focused on my faith, my music, my healing and using my story to encourage others to find strength and hope.” Cyrus filed for divorce on May 22, citing “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct” seven months after the couple married. On June 13, Cyrus requested an emergency motion accusing Firerose of making nearly $100,000 in unauthorized “fraudulent” credit card charges while seeking a temporary restraining order to stop her, though her attorneys said the accusations were “untrue.” After Cyrus’ divorce filing, Firerose accused him of domestic abuse, and calling the country star “unpredictable and volatile” due to alleged substance abuse. In a statement shared with Billboard, Cyrus’ lawyers “vehemently” denied the allegations and said that while he was “certainly vocal, frustrated and angry … it is the plaintiff who, in fact, has been abused. Not only verbally and emotionally by the defendant, but PHYSICALLY.” In August, the duo settled their divorce. Earlier this month, on Jan. 20, Cyrus’ Liberty Ball appearance was plagued with technical issues, leaving his guitar inaudible and forcing him to haphazard a cappella performance. Cyrus defended his appearance in a previous statement, saying, “I wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar, and monitors worked or not. That’s called rock and roll!” he told People. Since then, Billy Ray’s son Trace Cyrus took to Instagram to also comment on the performance, addressing years of strained family dynamics and expressing concern for his father’s well-being. Travis Scott ‘4×4’ Video: Watch

Travis Scott has released the visual to his “4×4” video and he’s feeling some Texas pride while representing his home state. The frenetic clip arrived on Friday (Jan. 24) just hours after his first single of 2025 hit streaming services. La Flame moves like the president as he’s escorted by the Secret Service across the city and then heads to the gridiron where he directs a marching band on the football field. Scott actually performed “4×4” atop the Mercedes-Benz Stadium’s roof with a marching band as part of the College Football Playoff National Championship’s halftime show on Monday (Jan. 20). Being a big-time WWE fan, it’s no surprise to see Scott incorporate some wrestling moves into the “4×4” visual. Trav flexes his “4×4” championship belt and then heads to the ring where he sprays water like a fountain in an homage to Triple H’s signature move. “4×4” served as the official theme song for WWE’s Raw when it debuted on Netflix earlier in the month. Scott himself pulled up to Raw‘s Netflix debut at L.A.’s Intuit Dome with his hardcore championship belt in hand and escorted Jey Uso to the ring for his match. Elsewhere in the clip, Travis dances around in a Texas state flag, but the video delivers a heart-racing finish with Scott in a car chase as law enforcement choppers and a line-up of police vehicles follow him ala O.J. Simpson in 1994. “4×4” kicks off what should be a busy year for Travis Scott as he heads into a new era of music and is slated to headline Coachella in April. Proceeds from “4×4” CD sales and the LAFD merchandise collection on Scott’s website will go toward Direct Relief’s California Wildfire Response Fund.  Watch the video below. Source link

Lil Wayne Picks His Best Verse

There are plenty of excellent Lil Wayne verses to choose from. You can pick something from his Dedication mixtape series or maybe something from his Carter albums. One thing is for sure, though — you’ll never guess which verse the New Orleans legend picks as his best verse of all time. Explore Explore See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news While sitting down with entrepreneur Maverick Carter for his Mavericks YouTube series, Wayne had an interesting pick for his best verse after the rapper admitted that he didn’t think he’s rapped his best verse yet. “To me, to this day, my best verse is gonna always be my verse on my first solo song on the Hot Boys album [Get It How U Live!] It was a song called ‘Block Burner’,” he said before confirming that he didn’t curse on any of the song’s three verses. “And so, when we would go do shows and stuff in New York, even a TV show or something — if they had another New York artist on that, they would always pull me to the side and let me know like, ‘Bro, I respect that you rap like that and don’t cuss.’” Wayne went on, adding that those same artists were then surprised by his skill. “They would always also tell me, ‘I thought when I listened to you, I thought you was just gonna be a little sing-song artist where it doesn’t matter if you cussing or not. But you really be rapping.’ Always New York artists,” he said. Weezy didn’t specify which exact verse off the song was his best, but it’s safe to assume he meant all three because he went off on that song, even more so when you remember that he was only 15 years old when he recorded them. The Hot Boys finally reunited last year after multiple false starts in New Orleans for WeezyAna Fest and just announced that they plan on hitting three cities together in February. They are set to vista Tampa on Feb. 21, Charlotte on Feb. 23, and St. Louis on Feb. 28. You can watch the full convo below. Source link

The corrido tumbado, produced by Nito Cotton, is about a complex relationship characterized by betrayal, backed by pleasing requintos. In the lyrics, the Argentine artist reflects on her emotions, which lead her to seek revenge in an expressive manner. “You forgot that I taught you everything you know,” she fearlessly chants. On the other hand, J Balvin unleashed a love letter to his longtime partner and model, Valentina Ferrer, in a romantic reggaetón track called “Rio.” Named after the couple’s son, the Colombian urbano reflects on his personal and spiritual healing process, paying tribute to one of his biggest supporters. “Why look on the street for what is abundant in my house?/ A good-natured babe, who has a hot body and face […] God made her humble but I see her as very expensive,” he sings.
