Zach Bryan Ex Brianna LaPaglia on What She Looks For in a Boyfriend

On Sunday’s Golden Globes red carpet, media personality Brianna LaPaglia (a.k.a. Brianna Chickenfry) spoke to Us Weekly about what characteristics she’s looking for in a potential new romantic partner, and LaPaglia appeared to throw a little shade at her ex, “I Remember Everything” hitmaker Zach Bryan, with her response. Explore Explore See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news “Height, hair and kindness,” she listed. The now-single LaPaglia noted to the outlet that she’s in a happy place at the moment, saying, “I’m doing good. I’m doing well, I’m doing well. I feel like myself again. It’s good to be back here. Like last year, I was in a bad spot when I was here and now, I’m in a good spot. I’m just excited to be here and I’m like, ‘Where’s the champagne?’ Let me have some fun.” LaPaglia also noted that she recently filmed an episode with her BFFs podcast co-host Josh Richards and that the two had made a bet that LaPaglia can’t have a new romantic partner until mid-2025 — and that she’s not looking to quickly return to the dating scene. “Dating looks like a dark hole that I don’t want to jump into,” LaPaglia said. “Actually, we made a bet on the first episode of BFFs: I’m not allowed to have a boyfriend until summer. … June 21st. He doesn’t think I can do it. I think I can do it. I have no boyfriends.” Bryan and LaPaglia began dating in 2023 and made their debut together on the Grammys red carpet in February 2024. In October, Bryan confirmed the couple’s split. Shortly after their split, LaPaglia opened up in a BFFs episode about her experience following the 2024 Golden Globes, where she wore a sparkly, golden-hued gown with a high slit. During that BFFs episode, LaPaglia alleged that she and Bryan argued after the Golden Globes, noting Bryan apparently “didn’t like” her choice of outfit to that year’s ceremony. “He said he didn’t want to date someone that presents themselves that way. And he unfollowed me, he unfollowed everyone. … When I flew home — I flew home after the Golden Globes. He ruined my night,” she said. “He’s like happy in the beginning, then all of a sudden it turns to, ‘I can’t believe you’re wearing this, blah blah blah blah.’ It ruins the night. I’m crying to Grace [O’Malley] the whole f—ing night, and he unfollows me because of the dress. He tells me all the Instagram pictures that I have to delete, and I’m like, ‘OK, yeah, I guess.’ He makes me believe that I have to change my image to keep up with his or something.” Billboard has reached out to Bryan’s camp for comment. Kai Cenat Says ‘Beef’ With Kanye West ‘Is Over’

Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and streamer Kai Cenat seem to be on good terms these days. Over the weekend, the Chicago rapper posted a picture on his Instagram Story of a horse wearing a Bully stable blanket standing in the middle of the room Cenat uses to stream his popular Twitch show. Cenat, however, seemed confused about the meaning of the picture and said so during a stream. “I don’t even know what this sh-t means,” he said. “Now, listen, I know he’s got an album coming out. And I’m not gon’ lie. I think I’m officially a part of the rollout. I don’t know, though. Brilliant move by him. I think I’m a part of the rollout. He made me a part of the f—king rollout, dude.” Explore See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news He then continued to speculate about what Ye was trying to tell him. “But it’s the most random thing. Like, I wanna pick at his brain, and I wonder why. Oh my god. He’s trying to call me a dehydrated horse. Oh my God. What can this mean? Is he gonna diss me?” Kai Cenat reacts to Kanye’s recent Instagram story “I know he’s got an album coming out, and I’m not gonna lie—I think I’m officially part of the rollout. Brilliant move by him. Once he got in contact with the rapper’s team, they got Ye to send Kai an Instagram DM saying, “Happy New Year, family,” which then cause the streamer to tell his chat that their “beef is over.” Kai Cenat says the beef with Kanye is over after receiving an Instagram DM from him wishing him a Happy New Year “The beef is over. The beef is over” pic.twitter.com/R96r10jzm2 — yzyupdates (@yzyupdates) January 5, 2025 If you remember, back in March of 2024, Ye took offense to Cenat criticizing a care package of clothing sent by him and his team. Apparently, the clothes were too big for Kai and he complained about it on his stream. “I said a small, not an extra-extra large. The f–k am I supposed to do with this sh-t?” Ye then DM’d him and accused the Kai of being “controlled” and “a pawn.” While Ye’s 11th solo album doesn’t have a release date, he’s continued to tease the album and released Bully‘s cover art in October. Post Malone Gives $20,000 Tip to Single Mom Working at Houston Bar

Post Malone is giving back in his home state of Texas. The 29-year-old Grapevine, Texas, native (real name Austin Post) went to The Railyard bar in Houston on Christmas Eve, where he surprised a bartender there with a $20,000 tip, according to Music Mayhem. The bartender, a 36-year-old single mom named Renee Brown, told the publication that she was struggling with the fact that she had to work and was away from her nine-year-old daughter on the holiday, not knowing that an unexpected “Christmas miracle” was on the way. Explore Explore See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news “Going into work Christmas Eve, I was so sad I had to leave my baby girl to go to work. Oblivious that God would send me a Christmas miracle,” she told the publication. “This is hands down the most humble, personable celebrity I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He changed my life on Christmas f—king Eve, and will forever be grateful. Thank you so much, Austin.” She added of the life-changing moment, “This put me in a position to at least be able to get a way back and forth to work and pay up on rent and save a bit. I’m trying to save up to start a business, so I don’t have to continue working two jobs and be able to spend more time with my daughter. Things have been extremely difficult, and this was truly a blessing that I can’t fully put into words. The visit alone was absolutely amazing and something I could talk about and remember for the rest of my life.” The generous gesture came shortly after Post’s F-1 Trillion album became certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association. Additionally, the project’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single, “I Had Some Help” (feat. Morgan Wallen) — which spent six weeks atop the chart — was certified 5x platinum, and his Blake Shelton collab, “Pour Me a Drink,” was certified platinum. He’s nominated for seven trophies at the upcoming Grammy Awards, including best country album and best recording package, as well as best country song and best country duo/group performance for “I Had Some Help.”  Source link

Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars’ ‘Die With a Smile’ Hits No. 1 on Hot 100

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” rises to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The ballad becomes Gaga’s sixth Hot 100 leader and Mars’ ninth. The song soars from No. 17 on the Hot 100, after initially peaking at No. 2 for four weeks in November. All titles in the top 10 return to the region, a week after holiday songs decorated the top 10, and top 16 spots, for the first time. The chart’s latest data tracking week reflects Dec. 27, 2024, through Jan. 2, 2025, as consumption for Yuletide tracks annually plunges after Christmas. “Die With a Smile” debuted at No. 3 on the Hot 100 in late August. As it leads in its 20th week on the chart, it wraps the lengthiest trip to the top since Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” took 32 weeks to hit No. 1 last March. Highlighting her hitmaking longevity, Gaga joins select company in having earned multiple Hot 100 No. 1s in three distinct decades, as she adds her second leader of 2020s, following two each in the ‘10s and ‘00s. Previously, only Janet Jackson (‘00s, 1990s, ‘80s) and Michael Jackson (‘90s, ‘80s, ’70s) achieved the feat. Mars likewise lands his second Hot 100 leader this decade, after “Leave the Door Open,” billed as by Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak), hit No. 1 in 2021. Plus, ROSÉ and Mars’ “APT.” soars 34-5 on the Hot 100, surpassing its prior No. 8 peak, set upon its November debut. The song became BLACKPINK member ROSÉ’s first top 10 as a soloist, as she made history as the first female artist prominent in K-pop (Korean pop) to hit the top 10. She now, therefore, becomes the first such artist to reach the top five. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. Airplay, Streams & Sales “Die With a Smile,” on Streamline/Interscope/Atlantic/ICLG, totaled 59.7 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 11% week-over-week), 27.1 million official streams (up 11%) and 6,000 sold (up 41%) in the United States Dec. 27-Jan. 2. The track hits No. 1, surging from No. 25, for the first time on the Streaming Songs chart, becoming Gaga’s second leader and Mars’ third; holds at its No. 2 high on Radio Songs; and, pushes 5-4 on Digital Song Sales, which it led for two weeks. Gaga’s 6th No. 1, Mars’ 9th “Die With a Smile,” the 1,177th No. 1 in the Hot 100’s 66-year history, is Lady Gaga’s sixth and Bruno Mars’ ninth. Here’s a recap of each superstar’s leaders on the list. Lady Gaga’s Hot 100 No. 1s: “Die With a Smile” (with Bruno Mars), one week at No. 1 (to date), Jan. 11, 2025 “Rain on Me” (with Ariana Grande), one, June 6, 2020 “Shallow” (with Bradley Cooper), one, March 9, 2019 “Born This Way,” six weeks, beginning Feb. 26, 2011 “Poker Face,” one, April 11, 2009 “Just Dance” (feat. Colby O’Donis), three, beginning Jan. 17, 2009 Bruno Mars’ Hot 100 No. 1s: “Die With a Smile” (with Lady Gaga), one week at No. 1 (to date), Jan. 11, 2025 “Leave the Door Open” (Silk Sonic [Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak]), two weeks, beginning April 17, 2021 “That’s What I Like,” one, May 13, 2017 “Uptown Funk!” (Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars), 14, beginning Jan. 17, 2015 “When I Was Your Man,” one, April 20, 2013 “Locked Out of Heaven,” six, beginning Dec. 22, 2012 “Grenade,” four, beginning Jan. 8, 2011 “Just the Way You Are,” four, beginning Oct. 2, 2010 “Nothin’ on You” (B.o.B feat. Bruno Mars), two, beginning May 1, 2010 Gaga and Mars are also among the co-writers and co-producers of “Die With a Smile.” Gaga has co-written all six of her Hot 100 No. 1s and co-produced three. Mars has co-penned all nine of his leaders (as well as Flo Rida’s 2009 No. 1 “Right Round”) and likewise co-produced three. Gaga, Janet & Michael’s Triple Triumphs Now boasting a nearly 16-year career span of topping the Hot 100, Lady Gaga becomes only the third artist – joining Janet and Michael Jackson – to have notched multiple No. 1s in three distinct decades. Here’s a look at the three acts and their totals by decade: Lady Gaga: two Hot 100 No. 1s in the 2020s, two in the ‘10s, two in the ‘00s Janet Jackson: two in the ‘00s, six in the 1990s, two in the ‘80s Michael Jackson two in the ‘90s, nine in the ‘80s, two in the ‘70s (Michael Jackson’s totals do not include his four trips to the top of the Hot 100 in the 1970s as a member of the Jackson 5. If mixing group and solo No. 1s, Paul McCartney and Diana Ross would also make the list above. McCartney earned three leaders in the ‘80s and six in the ‘70s as a soloist and/or with Wings, following The Beatles’ record 20 in the ‘70s [two] and ‘60s [18]. Ross tallied two solo No. 1s in the ‘80s and four in the ‘70s, after The Supremes scored 12 in the ‘60s.) Mars Has 10th-Most Weeks at No. 1 As “Die With a Smile” ascends to the Hot 100’s summit, Bruno Mars adds his 35th career week at No. 1 – solely claiming the 10th-most time

10 Things to Know About ‘Emilia Pérez’

On Sunday (Jan. 5), Netflix’s Emilia Pérez won big at the 2025 Golden Globes. The musical crime comedy – starring Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez and Karla Sofía Gascón – took awards for best performance by an actress in a supporting role (Saldaña); best motion picture — non-English language; best original song — motion picture for “El Mal”; and best motion picture — musical or comedy. Directed by Jacques Audiard, Emilia Pérez tells the riveting story of Mexican cartel boss Manitas del Monte (Gascón) who decides to retire from business and undergo gender-affirming surgery to become the titular character. The narrative is told via dramatical musical numbers – ranging from rock to rap and pop – that really capture the uniqueness of the film. “The goal was that the music and the songs were linked to the story and deal with emotions,” French composer Clément Ducol, who alongside singer-songwriter Camille crafted the musical’s score, previously told Billboard. “That it wasn’t only music reflecting the story, but the music was the story.” Ever since premiering at the Cannes Film Festival last year, Emilia Pérez has been quite unforgettable becoming the center of conversation on many fronts, including breaking records at awards shows – it became the most nominated comedy or musical film in Golden Globes history, and it leads nominations for the BAFTA Awards. Meanwhile, Gascón became the first openly trans actor to win a major award at Cannes. But even with glowing reviews and its major success across award shows and film festivals, Emilia Pérez sparked controversy — including Selena Gomez’s Spanish in the film. In December, Gomez had to defend her role after her Spanish was criticized by Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez. “I did the best I could with the time I was given,” she said then. Following Emilia’s big night at the Golden Globes, below are 10 things you should know about the film. What Is Emilia Pérez About? Mexican cartel boss Manitas del Monte decides to retire from business and undergo gender reassignment surgery to become the titular character of Emilia Pérez. Manitas, played by breakout star Karla Sofía Gascón, first hires fierce lawyer Rita (Zoe Saldaña) to help facilitate her surgery, and years later, rehires her to help her reunite with wife Jessi (Selena Gomez), a rebellious woman at heart. All three leading ladies have compelling musical numbers that add context to their own personal plights. After a theatrical run in the U.S., the musical premiered on Netflix in November. Music Is a Protagonist French composing duo Clément Ducol and Camille crafted the musical’s score. Their songs not only played a major role in advancing the film’s story, but they went on to take a life of their own. Initially, Ducol and Camille received a brief 20-page treatment from the director. “What was exciting was that Jacques invited us to be part of it since the very beginning,” Ducol told Billboard. “The goal was that the music and the songs were linked to the story and deal with emotions. That it wasn’t only music reflecting the story but the music was the story. The music shifts along with characters. It’s a story of emancipation, transformation and evolution, so the music embodies all of that.” Songs Were Written in Spanish Ducol and Camille aren’t native Spanish speakers but Camille wrote the lyrics in Spanish with the help of language consultants who offered feedback that was “accurate and fair,” Camille explained. “Sometimes I imagined the lyrics in French, then I would switch to Spanish very quickly because I needed to hear how it actually sounded,” Camille explained. “There’s no point in writing in French and translating. It has to be in the language because the lyrics talk about the country, the reality, the landscapes, the people,” she added. Inspiration Behind the Musical Numbers The musical numbers we hear in Emilia Pérez are as audacious and genre-bending as the narrative itself. The genres that power the musical range from pop to rock and rap. “The inspiration was only the story and characters, it was a very intuitive process,” Ducol said. “There weren’t pre-existing ideas of what could be used, no styles were pre-determined. Jacques likes to say that music is trans-genre too, not only Emilia.” Zoe Saldaña’s “El Mal” Was Recorded With a Live Band Emilia Pérez‘s “El Mal” (performed by Saldaña) won best original song — motion picture at the Golden Globes. It’s also one of the best musical numbers in the project as a passionate Rita takes the spotlight at a benefit to call out the corruption in Mexico. “There was already this kind of rap, rock, opera [base], but with an arrangement more electronic,” Ducol said. “And when Zoe sang the song and performed and danced, Jacques was at the studio and said we needed something more acoustic and rough. We redid the song with a live rock band.” Selena Gomez Auditioned for Her Role Director Jacques Audiard flew to New York to meet with Selena Gomez, whom he had seen in 2012’s Spring Breakers. “No, I didn’t know Selena Gomez the music star, but there’s a simple reason for this,” Audiard told The Hollywood Reporter. “She’s 30. I’m 72. I’m not on social media, not on Instagram.” After their meeting in New York, Gomez auditioned for the role of Jessi via Zoom, and performed one of the musical numbers. “I acted insane in the audition, surrendered and completely gave myself,” Gomez told THR in Cannes. Gomez’s “Mi Camino” Had to be Re-Written When Jessi (Gomez) reaches a point of liberation in the film, she performs the rebellious “Mi Camino.” The musical number is almost like a ’90s music, video and Gomez is very much in her pop star element. “We had written the bedroom scene for her, like walls turning into a techno song, something very punk,” Ducol explained to Billboard. “We had another song even punkier than this one and very rebellious. The first one was more like she wanted to rebel, and the second one was,

Eminem & Flavor Flav Cheer on Detroit Lions During Vikings Game

The Detroit Lions are looking to make history this year and capture their first Super Bowl with the NFL Playoffs right around the corner. In the snap, Em is wearing a gray T-shirt featuring an image of star Lions safety No. 32 Brian Branch. Flavor Flav added in another post of the two musicians with Sanders, “FLAVOR FLAV::: Name an NFL Team with a more iconic trio!” Sanders responded in a comment as if they were all longtime friends, “Nice to see you fellas.” Chuck D also hopped into the comments section with a fire emoji and his approval for his Public Enemy co-founder hanging with Em. With Flav and Em watching on, the Lions closed out the 2024 season in style against their NFC North division rival with an impressive 31-9 victory over the Vikings to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs for the first time in franchise history. After this latest victory, the Lions are in prime position to make a run as the NFC favorite to reach the Super Bowl. Detroit will have wildcard weekend off before hosting the lowest seeded remaining in the NFC playoffs in the divisional round. Eminem has been a frequent face at Lions games in recent years, and it’s probably a good bet that he will be spending a lot of time at Ford Field in January rooting on his beloved Lions as the team looks to lift the Lombardi Trophy for the first time. Naomi Osaka & Cordae Split: See Her Statement

Naomi Osaka and Cordae have broken up after more than five years together, the tennis champ announced Monday (Jan. 6). In a straightforward letter posted to her Instagram Story, Osaka revealed that she and the rapper — with whom she shares 18-month-old daughter Shai — have called it quits, but emphasized that there’s “no bad blood at all.” “Hi everyone, just wanted to say that Cordae and I are no longer in a relationship,” she began. “He’s a great person and an awesome dad,” the former Olympian continued. “Honestly really glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my biggest blessing and I was able to grow a lot from our experiences together.” Billboard has reached out to Cordae’s rep for comment. Shortly before confirming their split, Osaka had also hinted at a major life change in an Instagram post Sunday (Jan. 5). Amid a carousel of photos from some of her beach and hiking adventures — as well as a couple snaps showing off her 2025 ASB Classic Women’s Singles finalist trophy — the athlete included another written message that read, “I’ve come to the conclusion that what’s meant for me is meant for me.” “Maybe certain situations occur to train my mind for what’s to come,” she’d continued. “Maybe there’s bigger and better things on my path, and I just have to continue the journey to encounter them.” Osaka and the “RNP” musician first sparked dating rumors in April 2019, two months after which Cordae confirmed the relationship in an interview with HOT 97 by saying, “That’s my girl.” Four years later, the tennis pro announced that they were expecting their first child shortly after withdrawing from the 2023 Australian Open; that July, the pair welcomed Shai. Cordae’s latest album, The Crossroads, arrived in November and earned a spot at No. 19 on Billboard‘s Best Rap Albums of 2024 list. Source link

Ariana Grande Says She Hasn’t Used Botox & Fillers in 4 Years

Ariana Grande is continuing to embrace her natural beauty despite jokingly shouting out Botox and Juvederm during her Rising Star acceptance speech Friday (Jan. 3) at the Palm Springs International Film Awards. In a red-carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, the singer-actress clarified that she was only kidding when, at one point in her speech, she quipped, “I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words ‘rising star’ again, so I wanted to start by thanking my two friends: Botox and Juvederm.” “Oh my gosh, my joke,” Grande remarked to the outlet, laughing. “My bit.” “I’m still clean, I’m still clean,” she then clarified in regards to the beauty treatments. “But when I start going again, I’ll let you know. I mean it. I really want to be transparent as a beauty founder, as the founder of R.E.M. Beauty — I think it’s important to have transparency.” “I love it, I support it,” the “Yes, And?” singer added of fillers. “But I am still four years clean.” Grande’s comments echo what she previously revealed to fans in a 2023 beauty secrets video with Vogue, saying at the time that she’d had a “ton” of lip filler and Botox injections over the years before stopping cold turkey in 2018. “For a long time, beauty was about hiding for me, and now I feel like maybe it’s not,” she said in the emotional clip. “It was just like, ‘Oh, I just want to see my well-earned cry lines and smile lines’ … These are just thoughts that I feel like we should be able to discuss when we’re talking about beauty secrets. F— it, let’s lay it all out there.” The two-time Grammy winner earned the Palm Springs ceremony’s Rising Star honors thanks to her performance in Wicked, in which she stars as Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba. Grande was full of jokes at the award show, with the Victorious alum also comically faking like her trophy was too heavy for her to carry after accepting it from Jennifer Coolidge — something she also laughed about with ET. “I was doing a bit on stage, but I’m scared people actually thought it weighed me down,” Grande said. Two days after the Palm Springs International Film Awards, Wicked won cinematic and box office achievement at the 2025 Golden Globes. Watch Grande clarify her joke about Botox below. Source link
