Foreigner Offer to Be Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Band

We don’t know where, or when, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will get married, but we do know that one legendary band is raising a hand to offer up their reception rocking services. On Wednesday (Sept. 3), Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Foreigner shot their shot with the superstar couple in an Instagram post in which they volunteered to be their wedding band. “Dear Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, we know what love is,” they wrote. “We spent 40 years figuring it out… and now you guys have too. Please accept this as our formal offer to be your wedding band. Best wishes, Foreigner.” “I Want To Know What Love Is,” the lead single from the band’s 1984 album Provocateur is their only No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 tally, spending two weeks at the top in December of that year. The beloved ballad has been covered by everyone from Australian singer Tina Arena and country star Wynonna Judd to Mariah Carey, who released it as a single in 2009 from her Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel album. A week after announcing their engagement, Kelce pulled back the curtain on the proceedings on this week’s episode of his New Heights podcast with brother Jason. “You gotta know your gal,” he said when asked for advice on pulling off the perfect proposal. “You can’t let how somebody else does it make you feel like you need to do it that way. I would just say, know your partner, know who you’re doing it for, and do it for the right reasons. Everything else will be beautiful.” See the pitch from Foreigner below.    Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link

Adam Lambert to Co-Host Global Citizen 2025, Camilo Added to Lineup

As festival season comes to a close, fans still have one more big fest to look forward to — and they just added plenty of new names to get excited about. On Thursday (Sept. 4), Global Citizen announced that Adam Lambert, Bill Nye, Liza Koshy and Danai Gurira will join the 2025 Global Citizen Festival lineup as co-hosts on Sept. 27. The quartet of stars will join actor-singer Hugh Jackman, who was previously announced as the host for the annual benefit festival. Additionally, the organization also announced a number of guest speakers that are set to appear at this year’s festival — including Kristen Bell, Tony Goldwyn, Laurie Hernandez, Nate Burleson and Vladimir Duthiers among others — while adding Latin superstar Camilo to the lineup of performers. The news comes months after the organization announced that The Weeknd and Shakira would serve as headliners at the festival, with stars like Tyla, Mariah the Scientist and Ayra Starr also set to perform. “I’m honored to headline the incredible Global Citizen Festival in Central Park this September,” Shakira wrote in a statement at the time. “I can’t wait to perform, unite, and inspire action.” Fans who are unable to come see the concert live in New York City will be able to watch the show via livestream on YouTube, Apple Music and Apple TV on Sept. 27. Earlier this summer, Lambert made headlines for his breakout performance as Judas in a three-night presentation of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl, where he starred alongside Cynthia Erivo as Jesus. Speaking to Billboard before the show’s run, Lambert praised his co-star’s performance, while adding that he was “excited by the challenge of presenting the audience with a production led by a female, Black ‘Jesus,’” and encouraged the audience who came to see the show to “expand their minds a bit.” Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link

Oasis Release Live ‘Wonderwall’ From Dublin Show

Oasis are on a glide path to wrapping up their brief run of U.S. reunion shows. After kicking things off on Aug. 28 at Chicago’s Soldier Field, then rocking more than 140,000 ecstatic, bucket hat-wearing fans during a double-down at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, the Gallagher brothers will hit the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. on Saturday (Sept. 6) and Sunday (Sept. 7). But before that, the band shared the latest live track from their get back run on Thursday morning (Sept. 4) with the release of “Wonderwall (Live from Dublin, 15 August ’25).” Recorded last month during a double-down at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland on the first of two sold-out nights that saw them playing to more than 160,000 fans, the shows were the group’s first gigs in Ireland since 2009. The recording opens with singer Liam Gallagher’s existential question: “Where the f–k would we all be without ‘Wonderwall?’ Where would we be? Selling carpets or some s–t like that.” Backed by brother Noel Gallagher’s acoustic guitar at the top, the recording is the perfect encapsulation of the energy and enthusiasm the group has been me with on their triumphant reboot, with the audience lustily singing along to every iconic line from the song that ran up to No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1996, giving Oasis their highest charting song to date on the tally. The new live “Wonderwall” joins a handful of other live songs they’re released so far, including: “Bring It On Down (Live from Edinburgh, 9 August ‘25),” “Slide Away (Live from Cardiff, 4 July ‘25),” “Cigarettes & Alcohol (Live from Manchester, 11 July ‘25),” and “Little By Little (Live from London, 2 August ‘25).”  Oasis are 22 dates into the 41-show tour that nobody thought would ever happen given the Gallaghers’ legendarily fractious relationship. Instead of the old rancor and unpredictability, so far the tour has been all hugs, hand-holding and pithy quips from Liam, with fans reveling in the joy of seeing the band roar back in top form and conquer the U.S. on a scale they never achieved during their initial late 1990s-early 2000’s run. After the L.A. shows, the tour will move on to two nights in Mexico City (Sept. 12-13) and another pair of gigs at Wembley Stadium in London before moving on to South Korea and Japan in late October and then Australia and South America in November. Listen to Oasis’ live version of “Wonderwall” below.    Source link

Cash Cobain & Zeddy Join ‘Billboard Unfiltered Live’

It’s Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players week, and we had Zeddy Will and Cash Cobain join staffers Delisa Shannon and Kyle Denis for an episode of Billboard Unfiltered Live on Wednesday (Sept. 3). Explore See latest videos, charts and news This week’s show debated who is the current king and queen of rap in New York City. Denis went with Joey Bada$$ as the king, based on the dominance he showcased this year in battle and with his new album. “He basically single-handedly took on an entire coast and won,” Denis said. “That new album is flames. He’s got this tour coming up. I’m really proud of the way that Joey maneuvered this year throughout music, throughout fashion, throughout acting.” Zeddy Will went with the queen being Nicki Minaj. “She’s been able to still for all these years come back and sell arenas out,” he claimed. “She did MSG twice back-to-back. Her fanbase is still crazy to this day and she got all the hit records. The numbers don’t lie.” As for Cash, he’s keeping it classic with Hov. “The king of New York is Jay-Z,” he said matter-of-factly. “It’s Jay-Z. Multi-platinum albums [and] president of Def Jam. He’s like the richest rapper, right? What didn’t he do?” Cobain teased rumors that have been swirling about Jay-Z potentially coming back to drop his first solo album since 4:44. “I heard Jay-Z about to drop some s—t. That’s what I heard. That’s about to shake the world,” he said. From Cardi B to A$AP Rocky, plenty of other names were floated for their stake at the crown, but the trio didn’t come off their original picks. Watch the full episode below. Lady Gaga Miami Concert Canceled on Mayhem Ball Tour

Lady Gaga announced late Wednesday (Sept. 3) that she had to postpone her Mayhem Ball Tour stop in Miami after fans had already packed Kaseya Center for the show. She revealed that her voice was strained during rehearsals on Tuesday night and that it hadn’t improved during her warm-up ahead of Wednesday night’s show. “Hi everyone I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami,” Gaga wrote in an all-caps message posted to her Instagram Stories. “During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained and both my [doctor] and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses.” In her message, Gaga expressed just how “agonizing” the decision was for her to make, but she couldn’t ignore the potential for long-term damage to her voice. “I want to be hardcore and just push through this for you but I don’t want to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords,” Gaga wrote. “There is a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours and as you know I sing live every night –and even though this was a hard and agonizing decision I would be more afraid of the long term implications on my voice. I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment, let down, inconvenience. I am so so sorry. I tried so hard to avoid this. I take serious care of myself to be able to put on this highly demanding show. I love my fans so much, respect you and hope you can accept my sincere regretful apology.” To end the message, Gaga assured fans: “We are trying to reschedule the show as quickly as possible.” Videos on social media showed fans pouring out of Miami’s Kaseya Center after being informed of the last-minute postponement. Gaga kicked off her Mayhem Ball Tour in Las Vegas in July and has U.S. dates scheduled through Sept. 18 in Chicago. Her international dates — with stops in Europe, Australia and Asia — go through Jan. 30. Next up, Gaga is scheduled for two more dates at New York’s Madison Square Garden this weekend — on Saturday and Sunday — as well as a performance on Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards. Earlier Wednesday, Gaga dropped “The Dead Dance,” featured in the second season of Wednesday, along with a Tim Burton-directed music video and a deluxe edition of her most recent Mayhem album. SoFi Stadium Offers Preview of 2025 NFL Season Food Offerings

SoFi Stadium opened its doors to members of the media Wednesday (Sept. 3) to preview the NFL facility’s food and beverage offerings ahead of the home-opening game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Houston Texans this Sunday. The L.A. stadium — which is also the home venue of the L.A. Chargers and hosting a number of big-ticket concerts this fall, including two headlining dates by Chris Brown (Sept. 13-14) — showcased dozens of menu items sold across its suites, clubs and concession stands during the tasting event, from tomahawk steaks to the stadium’s signature all-beef hot dog, which regional executive chef Robert Biebrich at Legends for SoFi Stadium says is the venue’s reigning best-seller. “We sell about 8,000 hot dogs per game,” Biebrich tells Billboard, noting that other stadium staples like hamburgers and pizza come in second and third place on game day, followed by regional flavors at the stadium, which are sold at the stadium’s concession stands and organized by street name honoring four well-known Los Angeles neighborhoods. On display were beef empanadas and al pastor tortas sold at Olvera Street, Asian-infused fried chicken at Sawtelle, square pepperoni pizzas on San Vicente and American eats like cheeseburgers and chicken strips at the stadium’s Fairfax stand. “We source the vast majority of our menu items locally and rely on our vendors to buy fresh from suppliers across Southern California — we are very blessed with the abundance of choices available to us,” Biebrich tells Billboard. In the stadium’s suites and club levels, those choices included Louisiana hot link sandwiches, bacon-wrapped L.A. street dogs, hand-cut sushi rolls and breaded chicken cutlet sandwiches. Much of the menu was based on popular street food items, like BBQ-grilled sweet corn smothered in cajun butter, hot sauce and cheese, or loaded mac and cheese bowls, topped off with BBQ burnt pork ends and pickled onions. One of Biebrich’s favorite items, the Texas Twinkie Burger, borrows from a Lone Star State tradition, replacing the Hostess snack cake with a tender beef brisket and cream cheese-stuffed jalapeno pepper wrapped in bacon and slathered in smoky barbecue sauce. Biebrich also showcased a number of specially crafted cocktails available at Rams and Chargers games, including the Mexican-themed Ultra Michelada, which is built for a Michelob Ultra beer and includes San Marzano tomatoes, ancho chiles, tamarindo, tajin and chamoy stick, or the Hail Mary Mule, which includes Ketel One Vodka and Chinola liqueur, key lime agave, Fever Tree ginger beer and is garnished with dehydrated citrus. “We try to offer a wide selection, with items that are adventurous and daring, and those that feel a little more familiar and approachable,” Biebrich said. “The goal is that fans have a unique and memorable experience each time they visit SoFi Stadium and they feel good about the time they spent here.” Recent music stars who have headlined SoFi include Shakira, for two dates of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour in August; BLACKPINK, for three dates of their DEADLINE tour in July; and Beyoncé, for five concerts of her Cowboy Carter Tour in April and May. Beyond Brown’s two-night stand this month, the next non-football event on the SoFi schedule (so far) is a one-night-only show from comics Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias and Jo Koy in March 2026. Young Thug Seemingly Addresses Online Backlash After Jail Calls Leak

Young Thug is finding himself in a bit of precarious situation these days. Over the past week or so, the Atlanta rapper has been dealing with leaked audio from jail phone calls and interrogations from when he was incarcerated for three years awaiting his YSL RICO trial, and some of the subject matter has led to him receiving backlash online. Thugger seemingly addressed the vitriol that’s been coming his way this afternoon with a tweet that reads, “Bashing me only goin f— that rap community up more, I’m the blue to this fake a– game.” Last week, Thug tweeted, “Stop trying to make me one of those boys. Death before dishonor this way kids,” and also tweeted and deleted a message that read: “They didn’t play my interrogation video in court cause I helped my brada #Ratwhere,” in regards to leaked interrogation room audio in which he allegedly mentioned Peewee Roscoe when talking to investigators about Lil Wayne‘s tour bus incident from 2015. Roscoe then came to Thug’s defense by addressing the audio on social media. “Jeff clean as Listerine, man,” he said. “Clean as ivory soap, ya feel what I’m saying? I done the time. I did that. That’s what you supposed to do. When you go into the interrogation room, that’s what you do.” The Gunna fanpage @Gunnaupdates on X is mainly responsible for posting the leaked audio and recently told Rolling Stone that some fans “have been sitting on these for a while now,” and that anyone can obtain public records like jail calls by making an Open Records Request with the county. If you recall, last year a jail call between Thug and his girlfriend Mariah the Scientist made its way online, and the Cobb County Jail told Billboard the same thing, saying that “the Cobb County Sheriff’s routinely receives and fulfills open records requests of phone calls and video visitations for Jeffery Williams.” Since Gunna decided to take an Alford Plea a few months after being arrested in connection to the YSL RICO case, Young Thug has thrown jabs online at his former collaborator once tweeting, “If u a rapper and u a rat, u gotta just go gospel twin,” and deleting a tweet telling Gunna to “stop acting like we friends on the internet.” Source link

Lenier & Costa Azul’s ‘Maquillaje’ Voted Best New Latin Music

Lenier and Costa Azul’s “Maquillaje” has topped Billboard’s latest new Latin music poll, published on Friday (Aug. 29). In support of the weekly New Music Latin roundup and playlist, curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors, music fans voted for the Cuban artist’s team up with the rising Nicaraguan group as their favorite music release of the week. “Maquillaje” generated more than 93% of the vote, beating out other new releases, including Carín León & Kacey Musgraves’ “Lost In Translation,” Yeison Jiménez and Natalia Jiménez’s “Pedazos,” and new albums by Luis R. Conriquez (Meneo), Hamilton (Afrorockstar), and Mau y Ricky (La Llave). Meanwhile, “Vámonos de Aquí” by Pablo Alborán and Indiara Sfair was a favorite close second in the weekly poll. Explore See latest videos, charts and news The song was born spontaneously earlier this year when Lenier and Costa Azul crossed paths at a record studio in Miami. Produced by J-Prod and penned by the Cuban singer-songwriter himself, “Maquillaje” is an urban-tinged romantic cumbia powered by Lenier’s sugary, raspy vocals and the eloquent harmonies by Fred, Oscar and Omar (Costa Azul’s vocalists). “The heart doesn’t need makeup/ Nor to invent a character, when it comes to love/ The heart is so crazy, so brave/ That it goes against the current, when it’s right,” they chant in the song about loving someone in a transparent and honest way. Beyond a first collaborative effort, “Maquillaje” marks a historic moment in the Nicaraguan music scene and for the group also known as “El Imperio de la Cumbia.” Editor’s Note: The weekly New Music Latin poll results are posted if the poll generates more than 1,000 votes. BigXthaPlug Goes ‘All The Way’ for First No. 1 on Hot Rap Songs Chart

BigXthaPlug lights up Billboard’s charts this week with multiple achievements on the lists dated Sept. 6. The rapper claims his first No. 1 on the Hot Rap Songs chart with “All the Way,” featuring Bailey Zimmerman, while its parent album, I Hope You’re Happy, launches in the top two on both the Top Rap Albums and Top Country Albums charts, and is the most-streamed rap album of the week. “All the Way,” released and promoted through BigXthaPlug/United Masters, ascends from the runner-up rank to crown the Hot Rap Songs survey in its 21st chart week. For its coronation on the multi-metric chart, the song registered 13.9 million official streams, 1,000 sales downloads and 12.5 million radio airplay impressions in the United States for the tracking week of Aug. 22-28, according to Luminate, gains of 29%, 38% and 9%, respectively, compared with the previous week. As the country-rap collaboration”All the Way” topped the Hot Country Songs chart upon its debut on the April 11, 2025, list, the single becomes the first track to have reached No. 1 on both Hot Country Songs and the Hot Rap Songs charts; the former list began in October 1958, while the latter premiered in April 1989. The incumbent champ debuted at No. 3 on Hot Rap Songs, maintaining the rank for its first 11 weeks on the chart as Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s runaway hit “Luther” and Drake’s “Nokia” dominated the top two spots. “All the Way” has yet to exit the top five since its arrival and ousts “Luther” for the summit this week after the former champ’s unprecedented 33 nonconsecutive weeks in charge. In needing 21 weeks to reach the summit of Hot Rap Songs, “All the Way” wraps the fifth-longest climb to No. 1. Here’s a recap of its related company: Weeks to No. 1, Song, Artist, Date Reached No. 128, “Po Pimp,” Do or Die feat. Bailey Zimmerman, Sept. 6, 2025 As “All the Way” goes the distance on the Hot Rap Songs chart, its parent album, I Hope You’re Happy, opens at No. 2 on Top Rap Albums with 47,000 equivalent album units. The debut passes Take Care, which peaked at No. 3 last October, for the artist’s best showing on the chart. I Hope You’re Happy also starts at No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart and becomes only the third album to reach the top two spots on both Top Rap Albums and Top Country Albums since their co-existence beginning in 2004. It follows two Colt Ford projects: 2012’s Declaration of Independence, which topped the country chart and reached No. 2 on the rap side, while 2014’s Thanks for Listening reversed the results. (Country and rap albums are defined as those eligible or that have appeared on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and Top Rap Albums charts.) On the all-genre Top Streaming Albums chart, I Hope You’re Happy launches at No. 3 behind Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem (No. 1) and the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack (No. 2). Including “All the Way,” BigXthaPlug logs seven songs on the Hot Rap Songs chart. The chart-topper joins four debuts: “Box Me Up,” featuring Jelly Roll (No. 6), “Pray Hard,” featuring Luke Combs (No. 15), the Darius Rucker-assisted title track (No. 19) and “About You,” featuring Tucker Wetmore (No. 23). Plus, previous release “Hell at Night,” featuring Ella Langley jumps 6-3 in its third frame, while “Home,” featuring Shaboozey, returns at No. 17 for a third week on the chart. Source link
