Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem Tour Walkouts: Drake & More Celebs

While fans flocked to Morgan Wallen’s headlining stadium shows for chart-topping hits like “Love Somebody” and “Last Night,” they were likely also drawn to his charismatic stage presence and the dynamic production elements that transform the concert experience into a full-scale spectacle. Oh, and there’s another reason too: to see which celebs will walk out with Wallen to the stage. The 19-time Billboard Music Awards winner has evolved his concert walkouts from simple solo affairs livestreamed on each stadium’s Jumbotron into highly orchestrated moments featuring a rotating roster of celebrity guests, ranging from acclaimed musical collaborators spanning various genres to Super Bowl–winning athletes. The walkouts capture Wallen getting just as hyped as his fans before each concert — whether he’s high-fiving friends, laughing, stretching or hugging family members. But the addition of celebrity guests has made these nightly moments become one of the most highly anticipated elements of his shows. Wallen’s previous headlining tour, the global-spanning One Night at a Time Tour, featured some top-shelf celebrity walkouts, including rapper Moneybagg Yo (Wallen’s collaborator on “Whiskey Whiskey”); Country Music Hall of Fame duo Brooks & Dunn; wrestler Hulk Hogan; boxing champion Mike Tyson; podcaster Theo Von; the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl leaders Chris Jones, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes; and Peyton Manning and the Tennessee Vols (for a hometown show at Knoxville’s Neyland Stadium). The celeb walkout trend continued on his I’m the Problem Tour, which launched with two nights at NRG Stadium in Houston in June. The tour concluded this past weekend, with two shows Sept. 12-13 in Edmonton, Alberta. Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Koe Wetzel, Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley and Anne Wilson opened various shows on the tour. Below, take a look at the celebs who have joined the walkouts on Wallen’s I’m the Problem Tour. Roger Clemens in Houston (June 21) In addition to Drake, Wallen was flanked by former Houston Astros pitcher Roger Clemens on June 21. Brett Favre in Madison, Wisconsin (June 29) Wallen welcomed another legendary athlete during his second Madison, Wisconsin, show of the tour. (His June 28 show at Camp Randall Stadium was a solo walkout.) The June 29 show featured Wallen walking out with former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre. Jason Taylor in Miami (July 12) Former Miami Dolphins player (and current Miami Hurricanes defensive ends coach) Jason Taylor joined Morgan Wallen on his walkout prior to Wallen’s concert at HardRock Stadium in Miami, Florida on July 12. Randy Johnson in Glendale, Arizona (July 18) Wallen was joined by Arizona Diamondbacks legend Randy “Big Unit” Johnson for night 1 at Glendale, Arizona’s State Farm Stadium on July 18. David Spade as Joe Dirt in Glendale, Arizona (July 19) For his night 2 concert at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on July 19, Wallen was joined by David Spade in full costume as his Joe Dirt character from the 2001 comedy classic. Marshawn Lynch in Seattle (July 26) Marshawn Lynch, the NFL running back-turned-actor who retired from the Seattle Seahawks in 2019, walked out with Wallen at his night 2 concert at Seattle’s Lumen Field on Saturday, July 26. Barry Bonds in Santa Clara, California (Aug. 1) The MLB superstar — who played with the San Francisco Giants from 1993 until he retired in 2007 — walked out with Wallen during night 1 at Santa Clara, California’s Levi’s Stadium, joined by a fellow NorCal sports legend. Steve Young in Santa Clara, California (Aug. 1) Alongside Bonds, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback — who played on the NorCal NFL team from 1987 until his retirement in 1999 — also walked out with Wallen at Levi’s Stadium night 1. George Kittle in Santa Clara, California (Aug. 2) Wallen enlisted two current 49ers star players for his night 2 walkout at Levi’s Stadium, starting with tight end George Kittle. Trent Williams in Santa Clara, California (Aug. 2) Offensive tackle Trent Williams joined his teammate Kittle to walk Wallen out for Levi’s Stadium night 2. Kid Rock in Cleveland (Aug. 15) Kid Rock, wearing a long fur coat emblazoned with the word “Cowboy” on the back, joined Wallen on stage during the first night of the country star’s show at Huntington Bank Field. Myles Garrett in Cleveland (Aug. 16) Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett joined Wallen during the walkout on Aug. 16 at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio. Mike Vrabel in Foxborough (Aug. 22) New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel joined Wallen on his walkout on Aug. 22 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. Rob Gronkowski in Foxborough (Aug. 23) Rob Gronkowski, who played nine seasons with the New England Patriots, joined Wallen on his walkout on Aug. 23 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. José Bautista in Toronto (Sept. 5) Former Toronto Blue Jays player José Bautista joined Wallen on his walkout at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Sept. 5. 2025 Latin Grammys: Nominations Snubs & Surprises

Nominations for the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards were announced Wednesday (Sept. 17), with Bad Bunny leading the list with 12 nods, including for album of the year with DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS and double mentions in record of the year and song of the year, for “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” and “DTmF.” The Puerto Rican star is closely followed by Mexican hit maker Edgar Barrera and Argentine duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, each with 10 nominations. The former once again competes for the songwriter and producer of the year, and appears in multiple categories for his work with artists such as Karol G, Maluma, and Grupo Frontera. The latter group, similarly to Bad Bunny, is also nominated for album of the year, for Papota, and got double nominations in the record of the year and song of the year categories, for “El Día Del Amigo” and “#Tetas.” Many of the nominations were anticipated by Billboard, which last July accurately predicted mentions for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, Gloria Estefan‘s Raíces, Rauw Alejandro‘s Cosa Nuestra, and Joaquina‘s al romper la burbuja in the album of the year category. But there are always snubs and surprises at the Latin Grammys, and this year was no exception. Among the most notable omissions: 111XPANTIA by Fuerza Regida, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, not only failed to make the album of the year category but received no nominations at all — not even in the Mexican music categories. Another surprising omission was Natti Natasha in the best merengue/bachata album category for Natti Natasha En Amargue, a gem produced by Romeo Santos, especially considering there are only three albums nominated this year in that category. The nominees for the 26th edition of the Latin Grammys were selected across 60 categories, with recordings released during an eligibility period of June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025. Here are some surprises and snubs from the 2025 Latin Grammy nominations. Surprise: Joaquina Although Billboard accurately predicted Joaquina’s nomination in the album of the year category for al romper la burbuja, it is a delightful surprise to see the youngest-ever winner of the Latin Grammy for best new artist in 2023 being considered for the biggest award of the night with her debut LP at just 21 years old. While the Latin Recording Academy could not confirm to Billboard whether Joaquina is the youngest artist ever nominated for album of the year, she is certainly the youngest this year, with the other contenders in the category all over 30. al romper la burbuja was included in the top five of Billboard’s list of The 25 Best Latin Music Albums of 2025 So Far, published mid-year. Joaquina has three other nominations: best contemporary pop album, best pop/rock song for “no llamares lo mío muestro,” and best singer-songwriter song for “aeropuerto.” Snub: Fuerza Regida It made history in May when it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, becoming the highest-charting Spanish-language album by a duo or group, or a regional Mexican music act, ever. It was ranked at No. 1 by Billboard‘s staff on The 25 Best Latin Albums of 2025 So Far list published in July. And it was included in our Latin Grammy nominations predictions. But Fuerza Regida’s 111XPANTIA not only wasn’t nominated for album of the year — it was completely snubbed from the Latin Grammys, not making it even into the Mexican music categories. The only mention the band received this year was for best regional song, for its collaboration “Me Jalo” with Grupo Frontera, which is not included on the album. Snub: Natti Natasha Also included among the Billboard editors’ Best 25 Latin Music Albums of 2025 So Far list, the omission of Natti Natasha En Amargue in the best merengue/bachata album category is quite unexpected, especially considering there are only three titles competing this year for that award. Elegantly produced by the King of Bachata Romeo Santos, Natti Natasha’s first album in this genre showcased a new side of the Dominican singer, who showed off her deep, raspy voice as she addressed topics such as heartbreak and betrayal with empowering lyrics of growth and self-respect. The album reached No. 6 on Billboard‘s Top Tropical Albums chart and spent 10 weeks on the ranking. Surprise: CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso Another pleasant surprise was CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso’s whopping 10 nominations for their EP Papota. Ranked No. 3 on our mid-year Laitn albums list, the set serves up a musical feast on steroids, as its name suggests, with a delicious blend of jazz, hip-hop, percussion, horns and humorous truths on every track. The Argentine duo, who has become an international sensation both for its flamboyant charisma and musical virtuosity, was Billboard‘s Latin Artist on the Rise for the month of April. Snub: Xavi, again Snubbed for a second year in a row, Mexican hit-maker Xavi — who was named Artist of the Year (New) at the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards — had a lot to show for within the Latin Grammys eligibility period this year, from his album NEXT to his singles “En Privado” with Manuel Turizo, “Hija de Papi” with Netón Vega, and “Mírame Feliz” with Belinda. So we were surprised to see him again not among the nominees. Xavi, known for his signature romantic tumbados and his unparalleled voice, has captivated a new generation of listeners with hits like “La Diabla” and “La Víctima” — with the former topping Billboard‘s Hot Latin Songs chart for 14 weeks, and the latter reaching No. 2. Only a few months ago, he became the youngest songwriter of the year winner at 2025 ASCAP Latin Music Awards at 20 years old. He is now 21. Snub: Danny Ocean Another artist who didn’t receive a single nomination this year was Danny Ocean, whose heartfelt 2024 EP venequia., dedicated to Venezuela and released during a time of political crisis in his home country, was released within the eligibility period. (His latest LP, Babylon Club, could vie for a nomination in next year’s competition.)

Actors Who Starred in 2 or More Films That Spawned No. 1 Hot 100 Hits

Robert Redford, who died on Tuesday (Sept. 16) at age 89, accomplished a great deal in his long career. His obits mentioned his many starring roles, his work as a respected director, his role in founding the Sundance Film Festival, his environmental activism and much more. But most missed this fun factoid – He starred in three films that spawned No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Way We Were and Up Close & Personal. The songs from those films — pop classics all — were, respectively, B.J. Thomas’ “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head,” Barbra Streisand’s “The Way We Were” and Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me.” The first two of these songs won Oscars for best original song. The third, probably Diane Warren’s finest song, was nominated. Redford was one of just a handful of performers to star in three films that spawned No. 1 hits. The Beatles, Richard Gere and Emilio Estevez are also in this little club.   The key phrase there is “star in,” not just “appear in.” Tom Cruise starred in two films that spawned No. 1 hits – Top Gun (Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away”) and Cocktail (Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry Be Happy”). Cruise also appeared in a third – Endless Love (Diana Ross & Lionel Richie’s “Endless Love”), but that’s not the same thing as starring in a film. (Cruise was just 18 when the film, his first, was shot in 1980.) The great character actor Hector Elizondo appeared in both American Gigolo and Pretty Woman, but few were buying tickets to see the latest Hector Elizondo film. Such actors can help make a film a success, but a star is someone who makes you decide to see the film in the first place. So, how did I decide who starred in or just appeared in a film? I looked at the theatrical release posters for the films to see who was in the key art and whose names appeared high on the posters. It got a little tricky in the case of films with ensemble casts, such as those Brat Pack films of the 1980s, but if they were positioned as co-equal leads, I took them. Others who appeared in two films that spawned No. 1 singles, but who didn’t meet the above definition of starring in both films, include: Kim Basinger (8 Mile, Ready to Wear); Stockard Channing (Grease, Up Close & Personal); John Gielgud (Arthur, Chariots of Fire); Val Kilmer (Top Gun, Batman Forever); Martin Lawrence (Boomerang, Bad Boys II); Bill Murray (Ghostbusters, Charlie’s Angels); Julia Roberts (Pretty Woman, Ready to Wear); Katharine Ross (The Graduate, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid); and Christian Slater (Young Guns II, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves). Here’s a list of actors who starred in two or more films that spawned No. 1 hits on the Hot 100. The actors that starred in three such films are listed first, followed by the actors who starred in two. Ties are listed in alphabetical order by last name. The Beatles, 3 Starred in: A Hard Day’s Night (“A Hard Day’s Night”), Help! (“Ticket to Ride,” “Help!”), Let It Be (“Let It Be,” “The Long and Winding Road”) Note: The Beatles’ 1967 made-for-TV film Magical Mystery Tour also spawned a No. 1 Hot 100 hit (“Hello Goodbye”), but our focus here is on feature films. The film originally aired on BBC1 in December 1967. The film finally received an American theatrical release in 1974. Emilio Estevez, 3 Starred in: The Breakfast Club (Simple Minds’ “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”), St. Elmo’s Fire (John Parr’s “St. Elmo’s Fire (Man in Motion)”) and Young Guns II (Jon Bon Jovi’s “Blaze of Glory”) Richard Gere, 3 Starred in: American Gigolo (Blondie’s “Call Me”), An Officer and a Gentleman (Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes’ “Up Where We Belong”) and Pretty Woman (Roxette’s “It Must Have Been Love”) Robert Redford, 3 Starred in: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (B.J. Thomas’ “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head”, The Way We Were (Barbra Streisand’s “The Way We Were”) and Up Close & Personal (Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me”) Kevin Costner, 2 Starred in: Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (Bryan Adams’ “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You”) and The Bodyguard (Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”) Tom Cruise, 2 Starred in: Top Gun (Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away”) and Cocktail (Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” The Beach Boys’ “Kokomo”) Whitney Houston, 2 Starred in: The Bodyguard (her “I Will Always Love You”) and Waiting to Exhale (her “Exhale (Shoop Shoop)”) Madonna, 2 Starred in: Who’s That Girl (her title song) and A League of Their Own (her “This Used to Be My Playground”) Andrew McCarthy, 2 Starred in: St. Elmo’s Fire (John Parr’s “St. Elmo’s Fire (Man in Motion)”) and Mannequin (Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”) Eddie Murphy, 2 Starred in: Beverly Hills Cop 2 (Bob Seger’s “Shakedown”) and Boomerang (Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road”) Judd Nelson, 2 Starred in: The Breakfast Club (Simple Minds’ “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”) and St. Elmo’s Fire (John Parr’s “St. Elmo’s Fire (Man in Motion)”) Olivia Newton-John, 2 Starred in: Grease (her collab with John Travolta, “You’re the One That I Want” and Frankie Valli’s “Grease”) and Xanadu (her “Magic”) Michelle Pfeiffer, 2 Starred in: Dangerous Minds (Coolio with LV’s’ “Gangsta’s Paradise” and Up Close & Personal (Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me”) Notes: Pfeiffer also got a memorable name-check in a third No. 1 hit, Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” – “Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold”) Lou Diamond Phillips, 2 Starred in: La Bamba (Los Lobos’ “La Bamba”) and Young Guns II (Jon Bon Jovi’s “Blaze of Glory”) Sidney Poitier, 2 Starred in: To Sir, With Love (Lulu’s “To Sir With Love”) and Let’s Do It Again (The Staple Singers’ “Let’s Do It Again”) Prince, 2 Starred in: Purple Rain (his “When Doves Cry,” Prince & the

Will Twenty One Pilots’ ‘Breach’ Top the Billboard 200 Next Week?

The Contenders is a midweek column that looks at artists aiming for the top of the Billboard charts, and the strategies behind their efforts. This week, for the upcoming Billboard 200 dated Sept. 27, we look at the latest from alt-pop stars Twenty One Pilots and its likelihood of scoring its first No. 1 since its breakout 10 years ago.   Explore See latest videos, charts and news Twenty One Pilots, Breach (Fueled by Ramen): It was almost exactly a decade ago that Twenty One Pilots made the leap from cult favorites to pop stars, as the duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun scored its first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with the blockbuster set Blurryface. The set ultimately spawned two top five hits on the Billboard Hot 100 (“Stressed Out” and “Ride”) and led to the Pilots winning best new artist at the 2017 Grammys, cementing it as one of the mid-2010s’ biggest breakout acts.   In the decade since, while Twenty One Pilots has receded from the top 40 spotlight a bit, the duo has remained a top touring act and a consistently successful albums act as well. However, the No. 1 spot has remained elusive for the Pilots since Blurryface: 2018 follow-up Trench got stuck at No. 2 behind Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack, while both 2021’s Scaled & Icy and 2024’s Clancy ended up debuting and topping out at No. 3.   Next week, the duo should have a good chance to break that drought. On Sept. 12, Joseph and Dun released Breach, considered the final installment in the conceptual album series fans have followed from the duo since Blurryface. The set was preceded by a pair of singles, “The Contract” and “Drum Show,” both of which have reached the top 25 of Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.   Though the set should stream respectably — the duo’s biggest 2010s hits are among the most-streamed songs of their era, though their 2020s singles haven’t produced similar numbers — most of the album’s performance will undoubtedly come via sales. To that end, the duo and its Fueled by Ramen label are highly prepared: There are at least 15 vinyl variants available for purchase of Breach, as well as three deluxe CD boxed sets (with extensive packaging and collectible items contained within), a widely available standard CD and both standard and deluxe digital downloads, the latter also containing a bonus track and PDF booklet.   Excitement over the Pilots’ decade-spanning narrative’s final installment, combined with the variety of available physical editions and a relatively slow release week, could result in the duo once again aviating its way to the Billboard 200’s apex.   Ed Sheeran, Play (Gingerbread Man/Atlantic/Warner): Another one of the defining pop acts of the mid-’10s, Ed Sheeran was once considered a near-lock to debut atop the Billboard 200 with every new album, as he did with four consecutive new sets from 2014 to 2021. In recent years, however, his Midas touch on the charts has dulled slightly, and his last two sets — 2023’s – (Minus) and 2024’s Autumn Variations — missed the top spot, while failing to generate the long-lasting hit singles his earlier albums had easily spun off.   Still, Sheeran has remained a stadium-level live act, and has already reached the Hot 100 three times with the advance cuts from his recently released Play album — “Azizam,” “Sapphire” and “Old Phone” — though only “Azizam” reached the top 40, peaking at No. 28. And as Twenty One Pilots finishes its album series, Sheeran starts a new one: Play, advertised as Sheeran’s return to pop after a couple more personal, acoustic LPs, is the first in an expected sequence of albums titled after media control symbols, with Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind and Stop expected to follow.   Play also has a wide variety of physical media options available for fans, including at least 10 vinyl variants, four standard and two deluxe CD variants, and a deluxe edition for digital download and streaming that includes five bonus tracks. Sheeran’s sales numbers on recent releases have not been as robust as those of Twenty One Pilots, and Play has yet to produce a major breakout hit on streaming, so fans will have to show their investment in the singer-songwriter’s return to top 40 pop for him to have a major chance at debuting at No. 1.   KPop Demon Hunters Soundtrack (Visva/Republic): The current bar to clear for albums looking to capture the Billboard 200’s top spot is of course the soundtrack currently reigning at No. 1. KPop Demon Hunters finally captured the top spot last week after a three-month climb — helped by a digital deluxe edition and its first wide release on CD — but its numbers should come back down a bit next week, especially as the set’s many hit songs finally seem to be losing a little steam on streaming. Don’t count HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys out, though — they’ll still likely finish around the top next week, and could still be in the mix to reclaim No. 1 for a good many weeks to come.   Source link

Bob Dylan Joins Willie Nelson’s Farm Aid 2025 Lineup

Bob Dylan has joined the all-star roster of Farm Aid 40 taking place Saturday (Sept. 20) at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the festival organizers have announced. Explore See latest videos, charts and news Dylan will be featured on the bill headlined by Farm Aid’s guiding board members — Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Dave Matthews and Margo Price — along with Kenny Chesney, Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Lukas Nelson, and more.  Also on the lineup will be Trampled by Turtles, Wynonna Judd, Steve Earle, Waxahatchee, Eric Burton of Black Pumas, Jesse Wells, Madeline Edwards and the Wisdom Indian Dancers. Dylan, who has been touring with Willie Nelson this summer as part of the Outlaw Music Festival, last played the Farm Aid stage in Noblesville, Indiana on Sept. 23, 2023, as a surprise guest. As Farm Aid marks four decades of advocacy for America’s independent family farmers, Dylan’s presence on the festival lineup resonates deeply. It was Dylan, from the Philadelphia stage of the Live Aid benefit for African famine relief on July 13, 1985, who made the off-hand comment:  “I hope that some of the money that’s raised for the people in Africa, maybe they can just take a little bit of it—maybe one or two million, maybe—and use it, say, to pay the mortgages on some of the farms that the farmers here owe to the banks?” Willie Nelson later recalled to Billboard, “The question hit me like a ton of bricks.” With the impossibly short lead time of six weeks, Nelson staged the first all-star Farm Aid concert in Champaign, Ill., on Sept. 22, 1985. Dylan was among the remarkable lineup of country and rock musicians who played that very first Farm Aid, alongside Johnny Cash, John Fogerty, Don Henley, Billy Joel, Loretta Lynn, Roy Orbison, Bonnie Raitt and many more—including the Tom Petty, who died in 2017, and Petty’s band, the Heartbreakers.   Dylan’s early involvement with Farm Aid led to two other significant collaborations, with Tom Petty and, subsequently, the Traveling Wilburys. At Farm Aid in 1985, Dylan performed with Petty and the Heartbreakers. “At that time, Tony Dimitriades, Tom’s manager, was in a business partnership with [the late] Elliot Roberts in Lookout Management” who represented Dylan, recalled Bill DeYoung, a music critic, author and Petty historian, in a 2017 interview with Billboard.  DeYoung for many years worked at the Gainesville Sun, the newspaper in Petty’s Florida hometown.   “Dylan needed a band for the first Farm Aid,” says DeYoung. “Everything else sprang from that.” “Everything else” included the True Confessions Tour that Dylan and Petty launched together early the following year, in February 1986, during which the Heartbreakers backed Dylan for some 60 shows in Australia, Japan and the United States — including two nights at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. and three nights at Madison Square Garden. The singers also performed at the second Farm Aid on July 4, 1986 — via satellite from their tour stop at Rich Stadium, outside Buffalo, New York. A second outing, the Temples in Flames tour, followed in 1987.  And the creative friendship between Dylan and Petty—born at Farm Aid—flourished. In 1988, Dylan welcomed Petty, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison to his studio in Malibu to record the song “Handle Me With Care.” Originally intended as the B-side to a single from Harrison’s Cloud Nine album, the song instead became the inspiration for the tongue-in-cheek supergroup The Traveling Wilburys. So, from Farm Aid, Dylan found a potent touring partner and a hit recording collaboration. On Saturday, the legendary singer contributes to the goal of helping America’s family farmers, which he had first suggested on stage 40 years ago. Source link

Demi Lovato & Jonas Brothers to Return

This is real, this is Camp Rock 3. On Wednesday (Sept. 17), Disney announced that Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers are getting the band back together to create a third installment in the franchise that made them famous more than a decade and a half ago. With Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas set to reprise their roles as the Gray brothers from the original films and executive produce Camp Rock 3 alongside Lovato, the newly green-lit project commenced filming in Vancouver this past week, according to a release. The veteran campers will also be joined by an all-new cast of young actors, including Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, Brooklynn Pitts and Ava Jean. Maria Canals-Barrer, who played the mother of Lovato’s character, Mitchie, in the original films, will also reprise her role. The first Camp Rock premiered on Disney Channel in 2008, propelling both Lovato and the Jo Bros to teen-idol status. The vocalist and boy band would go on tour together after the first film came out, and in 2010, they reunited for a sequel titled Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. In the 15 years since, Camp Rock has solidified its legacy as one of Disney Channel’s most beloved projects — as evidenced by the streaming boost its soundtrack received just a few weeks ago when Lovato joined the Jo Bros on stage for the first time in years to help sing “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” at the band’s tour kickoff show in New Jersey. Shortly prior to Lovato’s surprise cameo, Joe accidentally let slip that a script existed for a third Camp Rock movie during an appearance on Hot Ones Versus. “Read Camp Rock 3,” the DNCE frontman read aloud from his phone at the time, fulfilling the show’s challenge to share the last thing he’d written in his Notes app. “It’s the truth. It’s literally right here. Sorry, Disney!” Now that the news is officially out, the Jonas Brothers are getting fans hyped. In a TikTok shared on the same day as the announcement, the trio filmed themselves mouthing along to one of their scenes in the original Camp Rock while on set of the third movie. Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Casino Bid Denied By Advisory Committee

Jay-Z and Roc Nation’s dreams of bringing a casino to Times Square appear to be dashed following a meeting with the Community Advisory Committee, which denied the bid in a four-to-two vote against the potential NYC casino on Wednesday (Sept. 17). Roc Nation and its partners, SL Green and Caesars, needed the board’s approval to move forward with potentially being granted one of the three open licenses for an NYC casino. The denial has put a major roadblock in the process and all but killed the potential proposal. SL Green CEO Marc Holliday slammed the members of the Community Advisory Committee for their decision, telling them following their vote that their actions were a “despicable display of cowardice, lack of leadership, lack of consideration for all the people who would benefit from this proposal,” according to a video shared online. Roc Nation’s plan involved converting 1515 Broadway into a full-scale casino with attached luxury hotels, shops and restaurants. The building currently houses the Minskoff Theatre, which shows the The Lion King, along with Viacom’s offices. Roc Nation, SL Green and Caesars’ bid promised to invest in the surrounding NYC community as the group pledged to invest $15 million initially, along with 0.5 percent of the casino’s profits, which would add up to $250 million in community funding. In an interview last week, Jay-Z exuded confidence in why he believed a “world-class casino” made “perfect sense” for NYC. “New York City is the entertainment capital of the world, so the idea of a world-class casino here makes perfect sense,” he said. “I’ve always looked at opportunities that can shift culture while uplifting communities, and Caesars Palace Times Square is exactly that.” Members of Broadway vehemently opposed the idea of a casino coming to Times Square. “This was a vote to protect the magic of Broadway for the one hundred thousand New Yorkers who depend on it for their livelihoods, and for the tens of millions who come from around the world to experience it,” said The Broadway League President Jason Laks, per Deadline. “A casino can go anywhere, but Broadway only lives here.” Source link

Billie Eilish & Finneas Take Part in ‘Together for Palestine’ Video

Billie Eilish and Finneas are two of several stars who appear in a new Together for Palestine video, which calls for an end to the widespread violence and killing taking place in Gaza. Posted just a few hours ahead of Brian Eno’s Together for Palestine benefit concert at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on Wednesday (Sept. 17), the clip finds the pop hitmakers joining forces with Cillian Murphy, Javier Bardem, Brian Cox, Joaquin Phoenix and several more famous faces in turning up the pressure on political leaders across the globe to intervene in Israel’s efforts against Hamas. Over the past two years, the country has waged war on the terrorist group while killing more than 65,000 Palestinians — and displacing countless others as they face mass starvation — in the process. The video also comes one day after a United Nations commission determined that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people, something the country’s foreign ministry dismissed as a “distorted and false report” in a response. “Together for Palestine,” Eilish and her brother say in the video, appearing side by side with hopeful smiles as the singer holds up the camera. “We have to tell the truth on behalf of the people of Palestine,” Cox says gravely in the clip. The Together for Palestine organization aims to continue raising awareness with a fundraising event spearheaded by Eno, who has been vocal in his support for the Palestinian people. Bastille, Damon Albarn, James Black, Paloma Faith, Rachel Chinouriri and numerous other artists are set to perform songs at the benefit, while Amelia Dimoldenbeg, Bendedict Cumberbatch, Florence Pugh, Jameela Jamil, Louis Theroux, PinkPantheress and more will make appearances to encourage viewers to donate. Every cent the event raises will be distributed to “Palestinian organizations operating on the ground in Gaza,” according to Together for Palestine’s website. The new video isn’t the first time Eilish has expressed her feelings on the crisis in Gaza. After wearing an “Artists for Ceasefire” pin at the 2024 Oscars, she publicly condemned Israel’s plans to forcibly relocate millions of Palestinians. “Horrifying,” she wrote of the proposal in July. Cardi B Promises Pregnancy With Stefon Diggs Won’t Affect Her Tour

Cardi B‘s announcement that she and boyfriend Stefon Diggs are expecting a baby came as a big shock to fans, especially because the rapper had revealed plans to embark on a rigorous tour just one day prior. But in an X post on Wednesday (Sept. 17) — just hours after her pregnancy reveal on CBS Mornings — Cardi assured her fans that her pregnancy won’t affect her performance abilities when it comes time to hit the road in February. “Thank you everybody for the love and support,” the musician began. “By the time tour comes I’ll be doing splits, somersaults backflips and handstands,” she continued. “I want this really bad and I’m on a very strict plan … trust me I’m determined to give my fans the best album AND tour experience!!” The message comes one day after Cardi revealed the route for her trek slated for 2026, which will find the hitmaker playing 30 dates across North America. Before that, she teased the tour on The Jennifer Hudson Show, sharing, “I’m already preparing for it. I’m at the gym, and I’m taking dance classes already.” Her comments about the physicality of her upcoming tour plans made it extra surprising when, Wednesday morning, she told Gayle King that she and a certain NFL star were starting a family together. “Yes, I am [pregnant],” she said on the ABC morning show. “I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs … I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, and me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other.” Cardi — who also shares three kids with estranged husband Offset — is also gearing up to release a new album. Titled Am I the Drama?, the follow-up to her debut LP Invasion of Privacy will arrive Friday (Sept. 19). See Cardi’s post below. Album drops Friday! Thank you everybody for the love and support…by the time tour comes I’ll be doing splits, somersaults backflips and handstands I want this really bad and I’m on a very strict plan.. trust me I’m determined to give my fans the best album AND tour experience!! — Cardi B (@iamcardib) September 17, 2025 Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link
