Linkin Park Expands 2026 ‘Zero World’ Tour of Australia

Linkin Park’s Zero World Tour of Australia has doubled in size. As reported earlier this month, the US alternative rock favorites will bring their world tour to these parts in March 2026 for an east coast leg, their first since 2013. Originally set for three shows in the country’s big three capital cities, Linkin Park’s jaunt expands to six shows stopping at Brisbane Entertainment Centre (March 3 and 5), Rod Laver Arena (March 8 and 10) and Qudos Bank Arena (March 14 and 15). Explore See latest videos, charts and news Those three new shows are added “in response to extraordinary demand in the pre-sale period,” reads a statement from Live Nation Australasia, which is producing the trek. Tickets for all 2026 Australia dates go on sale to the public tomorrow, Friday Aug. 22 at 11AM AEST. “The fans’ support is overwhelming,” comments Mike Shinoda, “and we’re ready to bring this energy to Australia.” From Zero, the band’s eighth studio album, released November 2024 through Warner Records and Machine Shop, “is a new chapter for us, and we’re so excited to share it with everyone on a bigger scale,” he continues. On their forthcoming run Down Under, Shinoda, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Joe Hahn, Emily Armstrong, and Colin Brittain will perform new Linkin Park cuts including “The Emptiness Machine” and “Heavy Is The Crown” plus anthems from across their 20-plus year career. From Zero gave Linkin Park their first No. 1 debut on the ARIA Chart, and first with the new lineup, which is now led by Armstrong and was assembled following the passing of former frontman Chester Bennington in 2017. None of Linkin Park’s studio LPs have gone lower than No. 3 on the ARIA Chart. From Zero is the band’s fourth leader on the Austarlian chart, after 2000 breakthrough Hybrid Theory, Minutes to Midnight from 2007 and A Thousand Suns from 2010. Explore See latest videos, charts and news “Ten years ago, what BTV is now, we’d never have thought possible,” comments Nicholas Greco, co-founder and managing partner of Untitled Group, producers of the fest. “It’s become a rite of passage for so many, and we’re proud to create a space where people can discover new artists, share unforgettable moments, and ring in the new year with friends.” When Dom Dolla gets to work on the wheels of steel, it’ll been seen as the return of the prodigal son. Dolla has a career-long relationship with UNTITLED Group, the Melbourne-based independent events team, and has performed at eight editions of BTV. This year has been one highlight after the next for Dom, during which he headlined two sold-out Madison Square Garden shows (where he collaborated on stage with Kid Cudi), played Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Miami, covered Rolling Stone AU/NZ, and launched a 10-week Hï Ibiza residency, which is ongoing. Last year, Dolla (real name: Dominic Matheson) smashed the box-office record for a homegrown DJ’s tour of these parts, selling more than 170,000 tickets across a four-date lap, produced by Untitled. He’ll set the bar once again this December, when he’ll perform his biggest-ever Australian headline show at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium, from which he’ll bounce into the BTV lineup. Presented by Untitled Group and triple j, the festival returns to Victoria’s picturesque Barunah Plains from Dec. 28 to Jan. 1. The most recent BTV featured performances from FISHER, Royel Otis, Chase & Status, Natasha Bedingfield and Tinashe, hosting over 35,000 party-goers across four days, making it the event’s biggest yet. That show earned a spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals list for 2025, rising 92-82. Untitled Group, meanwhile, came in at No. 12 on Billboard’s 2025 mid-year promoter’s list.  The “BTV Besties” presale begins Thursday, Aug. 28 at 11am AEST, with the official presale launching the following Thursday, Aug. 28 at 6pm AEST, and general on sale starting Friday, Aug. 29 at 12pm AEST. Sofia Reyes Talks ‘IDGAF ERA’, Quarter-Life Crisis & More

For more than a decade, Sofia Reyes has earned her crown in the Latin pop realm with her natural charm and sugary viral bops including “R.I.P.,” “1,2,3,” and “Solo Yo” with Prince Royce that hit No. 1 on the Latin Pop Airplay chart in 2016. But now — as she’s about to turn 30 next month — her mindset has shifted, bringing to life her fourth studio album, IDGAF ERA. Explore See latest videos, charts and news “[My album] was born from this whole process of mine, which I called my midlife crisis,” she tells Billboard. “I’m at a very important moment in my career. After so many years making music and in this industry, I started to question myself a lot about what resonates with me right now. Throughout that process, I feel like I’ve entered a small crisis where many changes are also beginning to appear in my life.” Among those changes were people who came in and out of her life, resulting in the 29-year-old artist wanting to recruit brand new producers for her new LP, such as Casta, Kastelo, and Majestik.  “I had this desire to create music with new people. I always had my equipment at home, but I felt like exploring new sounds with new people. Much of this [album] originated in Miami, Medellín, and Los Angeles—the entire team is new, and I met them during this process,” she explains. “Having this album is a success because we had a lot of fun making it, and above all, I met wonderful people who I now consider family.” IDGAF ERA is home to 10 tracks that will take fans on a trippy and experimental journey through Reyes’ mature evolution, healing process, connection with herself, living in the present —and her literal “I don’t give a f–k” mentality. Sonically, the album includes European house, afrobeats, intense perreo and indie pop gems, while reeling in collaborators Alan Walker, DannyLux, Leo Rizzi, Luisa Sonza, and RaiNao.   “For me, this album is [the color] blue because during this process of undergoing different therapies, many people told me I had a blocked throat chakra, and they recommended I wear blue necklaces and blue stones,” she notes. “It was part of the same process of becoming more loyal to myself, of learning to communicate better, of being more authentic, of letting go. Meanwhile, the shedding of my skin I’ve been experiencing is best represented by the snake. That’s how this whole concept was born.” But it was the previously-released title track—born during a two-week-long writing camp—that ultimately brought the entire project full circle.  “This was the last song on the album. It had been intense days, and we didn’t know what to write. I often feel like the songs I like most come from a place where there isn’t much of a mind. I feel like several songs are born from the places where I’m most tired or hungover,” she laughs. “With ‘IDGAF ERA,’ it was like that; it flowed beautifully. The message here is to walk through life lighter, and that the things that weighed me down before no longer weigh me down.” IDGAF ERA follows Reyes’ Louder! (2017), Mal de Amores (2022), and Milamores (2023). Stream the album below. Source link

Tate McRae at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena Recap: Best Moments

Tate McRae is having another chart-topping year. Her third album, 2025’s So Close to What, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart. After “Greedy” topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2024, she now has three songs actively charting on the Canadian Hot 100, including “Sports Car,” “Just Keep Watching,” from the F1 soundtrack and “What I Want,” a duet with country star Morgan Wallen. Last week, she topped Spotify’s Canadian Global Impact List, which highlights the Canadian artists whose songs are most listened to outside of their home countries. The Calgary native has unquestionably become one of pop’s biggest breakout stars. She has arguably been the biggest to come from Canada since Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, Drake and The Weeknd. Earlier this year, the 22-year-old Canadian pop star embarked on her Miss Possessive world tour, which includes an extensive list of sold-out Canadian dates. The biggest feat? This is her first arena tour. One of McRae’s first-ever concert performances was at The Velvet Underground in January 2020, playing for just over 200 fans. Five years later, she’s performing two sold-out nights at Scotiabank Arena. While this is McRae’s first headlining arena tour, she commands the stage, with elaborate choreography, four outfit changes, captivating visuals and an overall higher production value. She picked the right name for the tour because McRae totally possessed the stage. Here are the highlights from night 1 of Tate McRae’s Miss Possessive show in Toronto. Zara Larsson Warmed Up the Crowd In the mid-2010s, Sweden-born Zara Larsson was seemingly on a similar trajectory to Tate McRae. After her 2015 charting track “Lush Life,” the singer became less of a household name. But that changed when sleeper hit “Symphony,” a collaboration with Clean Bandit, went viral on social media last year — it peaked at No. 34 on the Canadian Hot 100 in 2017. Larsson, being billed as an opener, came as a surprise for some fans due to her decade-spanning career. Yet, Larsson brought her A-game as the first act of the night. From her opening track, “Pretty Ugly,” she drew in concertgoers with her succinct choreography and impeccable vocals, which boasted her talented use of breath control. While being lifted by her four dancers, she was still able to deliver perfectly on-pitch vocals. While “Lush Life” was slotted into the middle of the setlist, hits like “Never Forget You” and “Symphony” kept the setlist packed with favourites. She even teased a shortened cover of Britney Spears’ “Gimme More,” which was an apt choice considering McRae’s frequent comparisons to the star pop singer. Tate McRae Immediately Captured Everyone’s Attention Before she hit the stage, the concert was already getting fans amped up. As the lights went down, Charli XCX’s track “party 4 u” played over the speakers and energized the crowd. Once the song ended, fans were focused on the big screen centre stage, which displayed a pre-recorded video of McRae backstage, clicking around on monitors, showcasing fans from the show. As they noticed their faces on screen, they jumped and cheered with their phone at the ready to record McRae’s entrance. When she strutted on-stage to perform So Close To What album opener — and the tour’s namesake – “Miss Possessive,” her natural stage presence took over. As she stepped onto the industrial-like platform, flames and fireworks erupted. McRae threw her sunglasses to the side and launched into the track’s opening lyrics, which were quickly followed by a complex dance routine with her crew. She Reflected on Her Love for Canada For the past couple of weeks, McRae has been touring her home country, and she’s clearly touched by being back where she grew up. “It’s always so special coming back to Canada,” she told the crowd. “It feels like a fever dream a little bit, because I just love you guys a little bit extra.” Fans screamed. McRae zeroed in on the city she was in, expressing her gratitude for how massive the shows have become in Toronto. “I played a show in Toronto in 2020, and there were 200 of you here and now we’re here,” she marvelled. Last year, McRae made two stops in Toronto. In February, she performed at the NHL All-Star Game, but returned a few months later to headline Budweiser Stage in support of her 2023 album, Think Later. “Was anybody here last year at Budweiser?” she asked, which garnered a resounding yes. “That was sick,” she replied. A Throwback Medley on the B-Stage Midway through the show, McRae walked through the crowd and stepped onto the B-stage. It was a downtempo moment after a string of upbeat pop tunes. On the alternate platform, McRae brought fans back to her moodier earlier music before she became known for her pop bangers and dance moves. “I actually started this singing career on YouTube,” she said. “I would post original songs every Friday and call it Create with Tate. I wanted to see who in this room has been a fan since then.” She sat down at the keyboard and tested out a sampling of her 2021 track “That Day,” which the stadium immediately knew how to sing along to. “Oh, so you know that one,” she joked. She played a medley of the songs that first put her on the map, including “rubberband,” “feel like s–t,” and “One Day,” which McRae said fans earn bonus points for if they knew the words – and they did. Before leaving the stage, she had one last nostalgic treat for fans — 2020’s “You Broke Me First.” In the lead-up, she shared her appreciation for her breakout single, which reached TikTok virality and peaked at No. 8 on the Canadian Hot 100 after its release. Her Solo Performance Moments Felt Intimate While McRae is at home performing backed by dancers, it was the moments she spent solo that felt the most captivating. It was her time to show off her trademark “cursive singing” vocals. As she sang fan favourites “Uh Oh” and “Siren Sounds,” the crowd was in awe at McRae’s ability to command the

BigXthaPlug Talks New Country Album ‘I Hope You’re Happy’: Watch

When BigXthaPlug took Billboard out for barbecue in Los Angeles, the rapper — and self-confessed “ribs guy” — opted for the smoked links at Max City BBQ. While sampling those links (and a surprise addition of ribs from the establishment), the Dallas native talked about how solitary confinement during a jail stint helped spark his career. Imprisoned after violating probation, the then-20-year-old was locked up on his son’s 1st birthday. “It took a toll on me,” BigX recalls, “and made me very emotional. So they [jail officials] had to confine me by myself. And in that confinement, I felt like I was losing myself mentally.” Asking fellow inmates how they maintained their mental health, BigX parlayed one suggestion to write poetry into writing rap verses, which he did on medical forms since regular sheets of paper weren’t available. After completing the jail term, he says, “I wasn’t planning to be a rapper.” But in pledging to his autistic son Amar that “you’ll never not be with me ever again,” he began thinking about what he could do “to still be here for your child and still provide.” Fast-forward to 2025. In the aftermath of several platinum and gold-certified hit singles, including “Texas,” “Mmhmm” and “The Largest” — plus the 2023 gold album Amar and 2024’s platinum Take Care — BigXthaPlug is busy promoting his third album, I Hope You’re Happy. Ahead of its release, the rapper — and now father as well to toddler daughter Leilani — received the Innovator Award at Billboard’s Country Power Players 2025. Arriving Friday, the anticipated UnitedMasters release finds the rapper delving into his love of country music. In addition to the Hot 100 (No. 4) and Hot Country Songs (No. 1) hit “All the Way” with Bailey Zimmerman, the 11-track album features notable pairings with, among others, Jelly Roll (“Box Me Up”), Shaboozey (“Home”), Luke Combs (“Pray Hard”), Ella Langley (“Hell at Night) and Ink (“24/7”), the latter of whom co-wrote “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “American Requiem” for Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter. Watch the latest installment of Billboard’s Takes Us Out series with BigXthaPlug, as he talks more about the album (whose emotional themes stemmed from a breakup), his collaborators  — including those who didn’t make the album — plus the joy of being a dad and his prediction for the 2025-26 football season. Carly Rae Jepsen ‘Emotion’ Anniversary Edition Features 6 New Songs

Carly Rae Jepsen fans — particularly those with a passion for her third studio album Emotion — are going to really, really, really, really, really, really like how she’s planning to celebrate the project’s 10-year anniversary. In an announcement Wednesday (Aug. 20), the pop star revealed that she’s planning to release a special edition of Emotion featuring two remixes of 2015 single “Run Away With Me” by Kyle Shearer and Rostam, as well as four brand new songs. One of them, “More,” arrived on streaming services the day of the anniversary deluxe announcement. The other bonus tracks are titled “Guardian Angel,” “Back Of My Heart,” and “Lost In Devotion.” Described as the “definitive version of [Jepsen’s] pop opus,” Emotion (10th Anniversary Edition) will arrive in full on Oct. 17, available both digitally and in the form of exclusive vinyls fans can purchase on Jepsen’s website. As one of the singer’s most beloved albums, Emotion definitely deserves to be celebrated. Released in June 2015, the project built on the momentum Jepsen first unleashed on 2012’s Kiss and nine-week Billboard Hot 100-topper “Call Me Maybe” with hit singles such as “I Really Like You” and “Run Away With Me.” The project peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 and was included in Billboard‘s list of best albums of the 2010s. In the years since, Jepsen has dropped four other albums, most recently releasing The Loveliest Time in 2023 as a companion piece to the year prior’s The Loneliest Time, which reached No. 19 on the Billboard 200.
