In support of the weekly New Music Latin roundup and playlist, curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors, music fans voted for the Cuban artists collaboration as their favorite music release of the week. “Ese Besito” generated more than 86% of the vote, beating out other new releases, including Grupo Firme and Grupo Frontera’s “Modo Dificil”; Milo J’s “Bajo de la Piel”; Ela Taubert and Jay Wheeler’s “No Supiste Cuidarnos”; and Sech’s “Novio No.” Meanwhile, “Fan de mi Caracter” by Dale Pututi, Nesty, and Wow Poppy was a favorite close second in the weekly poll. Explore See latest videos, charts and news The song is a breezy tune that fuses Latin afrobeat with Caribbean funk and hints of Cuban reparto — giving the musical genre that derives from the barrios in Cuba an edgy twist. Co-produced by Javier Sampedro, DJ Conds, Drumglass, and Yoyi Lagarza, with mixing by Jefry Lozano, the flirty and packed with Cuban slang, “Ese Besito,” laces newcomer Santiler’s sugary voice with Cimafunk’s groovier vocals. “That’s why give me that little kiss/ That you owe me for a while now/ If you try me, why should I explain/ I’ll apply a killer psychology to you,” goes the seductive chorus. “Ese Besito” arrives on the heels of Santiler’s viral “Todo Se Supera” in collaboration with Velito El Bufón, which has garnered over 3.7 million views on YouTube in a month. Editor’s Note: The weekly New Music Latin poll results are posted if the poll generates more than 1,000 votes. Take Our Poll Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link

‘It Was So Weird to See’

Everyone needs a loyal friend like SZA. The Grammy-winning singer has come to the defense of her close friend, Lizzo, after multiple harassment lawsuits were filed against the “Truth Hurts” singer. Lizzo graced the cover of the latest issue of New York magazine on Monday (Sept. 8), which featured SZA throwing her full support behind Lizzo, while calling out those who turned their back on the Detroit native following the lawsuits. “It was so weird to watch everybody attack her because it actually had nothing to do with what was going on,” SZA said. She continued to credit the work Lizzo did on herself: “I think what’s special about my friend is she is a master healer. She is always going to get to the bottom of herself. Nobody cleared her name for her. Nobody could give her that vindication; she gave it to herself. I just felt like she 100 percent genie’d herself through that.” Lizzo was hit with a pair of lawsuits by ex-staffers in 2023. A former wardrobe designer, Asha Daniels, accused the singer of harassment and discrimination, but Lizzo was dismissed from the suit. A trio of back-up dancers also filed a similar harassment suit against Lizzo, which includes accusations of disability discrimination and false imprisonment, and remains active. SZA and Lizzo teamed up earlier in 2025 on the 37-year-old’s My Face Hurts From Smiling mixtape, and previously joined forces on the “Special” remix in 2023. Lizzo also popped out at a pair of shows on SZA and Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour. During the rest of the interview, Lizzo also touched on her shelved Love in Real Life album, which fans shouldn’t expect anytime soon. “I sat down at the table and I said, ‘I need to do s—t my way starting from now. And I need y’all to have my back. It’s going to be a little scary,’” she said of the album she mostly penned in 2022. “And everybody agreed. And they said, ‘We got your back, whatever you need.’” Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link

Talks Whether She Wants More Kids

As a guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Cardi B opened up about motherhood and her desire to have more kids. In a clip from the full interview — which premieres Sept. 15 — Cardi kicks off her talk-show appearance by speaking about how she keeps her family grounded and whether she’d consider having more kids down the line. “They have a lot of cousins, and a lot of my friends, they still outside, they still in the ‘hood,” the current Billboard cover star said in regards to how she keeps her kids grounded despite their wealth. “They was just in the Dominican Republic and it was like, ‘Yeah, my grandma gonna make you clean,’ you know what I’m sayin’? And I want them to know there’s another world out there that is not your world. That’s not always about backyards and foxes and deers. There’s rats and mices.” She went on to say that her kids love going to visit their cousins back in the Bronx and said she plans to have more kids. “Yes,” Cardi confidently said. “The more kids you have, the less of a possibility you go to a home. One of them is gonna wipe my butt!” Cardi is just one of the many memorable guests set to appear on The Jennifer Hudson Show for its fourth season. Mariah Carey, Teyana Taylor, Regina Hall, mgk, Simon Cowell, Marlon Wayans, Reneé Rapp, Jessica Simpson, Josh Duhamel and others will also sit down to talk with Hudson this season. Cardi B’s latest conversation comes as she gets ready to drop off her Am I the Drama? project on Sept. 19. Check out the clip of Cardi B below. Seth Troxler & Bill Patrick ‘Flirting With Friendship’ Podcast Lauches

DJs and longtime friends Seth Troxler and Bill Patrick have launched a new podcast focused on freewheeling conversations with each other and a weekly guest. Out now on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts, Flirting With Friendship is an hourlong, video-forward podcast in which the pals, artists and known arbiters of cool tell stories, riff on current affairs and generally express themselves. The show is filmed late night in the living room of Troxler’s parents’ house in Ibiza. Watch the trailer below. Guests for the series will include a discipline-spanning collection of DJs, visual artists, designers and other creative luminaries including Roisin Murphy, Damian Lazarus, Felipe Pantone, John Acquaviva, Chris Korda, Miranda Makaroff & Pascal Moscheni, George Stavro, Marcello Burlon and DJ Tennis. Out now, the first episode serves as a tone-setter with a conversation from Troxler and Patrick on their own. A statement about Flirting With Friendship declares it to be a reflection of the hosts’ “vision of positive masculinity and a shift toward curating culture in new formats that champion curiosity, community and connection in ways that extend past the dance floor.” The show has a constellation’s worth of star creators on its crew. Flirting With Friendship is produced by Nikita Stanley, the writer and co-founder of the book and mom blog The Rebel Mama, Jesse Rogg, who is also the show’s creative director, president of indie record label StrataSonic and owner of Los Angeles’ Mack Sennett Studios and Craig Pettigrew, who’s also behind events company Future Primitive and is a founder of BPM Festival. Set design is by Veronica Gessa, the multimedia installation artist also known as mokibaby who’s behind Miami’s Club Space and III Points. Award-winning cinematographer Lukas Strebel, whose credits include Black Mirror, is the show’s director of photography. “Friendships are funny, our life is based on connections. In many ways those connections determine who we are,” says Troxler. “At some point meeting new friends or opening up to existing friends becomes more rare the older you get. Flirting with Friendship is about breaking down that barrier. Bill and I have been friends for nearly 20 years. We love each other but also drive each other crazy. Real friends are people that no matter their flaws you’re still interested and invested. I hope our relationship is something other people enjoy as much as we do. We’re flawed and we love each other, but chance is you are too.. and maybe just maybe you’ll come to love us as well.” “I didn’t really have a choice when it came to doing this show,” adds Patrick. “I was told, ‘We’re doing a podcast,’ and I blindly went along with it. That’s the kind of trust (or poor judgment) that comes with being friends with someone for a long time. This show isn’t about teaching you how to be a better person. It’s about proving you’re not the only one with questionable life choices and friends who never let you forget them. If nothing else, you’ll get to hear Seth and me roast, annoy, and occasionally appreciate each other in real time. And if you end up liking us? Well, that’s your problem.” Source link
