Jason Koerner/Getty Images for E11EVEN From bumps in the road to baby bumps, Cardi B and Offset‘s relationship has been quite the roller coaster ride. The duo’s relationship began in early 2017, and has since brought cheating scandals; a secret marriage; kids Kulture Kiari Cephus, Wave Set Cephus and Blossom; and some hot collaborative tracks. Cardi and Offset secretly married on Sept. 20, 2017, before the Migos rapper proposed to her on stage at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia in October that same year. According to the Fulton County Magistrate in Georgia, Cardi filed for divorce from Offset nearly three years later, on Sept. 15, 2020. The two eventually got back together weeks later, only for Cardi to file for divorce again in the summer of 2024. There have been accusations of infidelity on both parts, but the couple previously maintained their love for each other. From super lavish gifts bestowed upon each other (and their children) to making their videos family affairs (see “Jealousy”), Set and Cardi have been public about their feelings for each other, during both the peaks and valleys of their romance. Billboard has compiled a timeline of the hip-hop power couple’s relationship, from collaborating on music to filing for divorce to babies and beyond. Cardi B was also spotted in a live video streamed by Offset, which was later reposted by fan accounts. https://www.instagram.com/p/BQLDATqlEVm Feb. 14, 2017: Cardi Posts a Telling Video on Her Instagram On Valentine’s Day, Cardi B posted an Instagram video of her and her “babe” Offset. She refused to offer any further comment on the speculations. July 2017: Offset Buys Cardi a $60,000 Chain  While backstage at a Meek Mill concert, Cardi B and Offset appeared happier than ever as she flashed her personalized chain gifted to her by Offset. Celebrity jeweler Elliot Avianne posted the chain to his Instagram account with the caption: “Bloody Moves.” The chain included a Cardi B-esque hand with red nails, rings and a red bandana. https://www.instagram.com/p/BW-Yb8Xg1OG Aug. 2017: Cardi Shuts Down Engagement Rumors  In a since-deleted Instagram post, Offset posted a video rocking a massive ring on his pinky finger. She wouldn’t have anyway, as she noted, “Because I got my period.” Oct. 21, 2017: Cardi B Says She’s Single In since-deleted Instagram posts, Cardi B captioned a selfie “single” and a separate photo “Peace nikka,” fueling rumors that she and Offset had broken up. https://www.instagram.com/p/BaiIdhsl-7b Oct. 22, 2017: Cardi & Offset Are Back On  It wasn’t long before Cardi B reacted to the slew of breakup rumors by sending out a series of hilarious tweets. “Reasons why me and Offset got into it,” she began on Twitter, “I thought he stole my purple blanket but it wasn’t him so I’m still looking for the suspect.” The “Bodak Yellow” star also added that “on a serious note,” she is

Sabrina Carpenter Jokes ‘SNL’ Will ‘Regret’ Inviting Her to Host

Oh, boy. Sabrina Carpenter is locked in to make her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live, and she says the show has no idea what’s coming for it. The singer was announced as one of SNL‘s next guest stars on Thursday (Sept. 18), with NBC revealing that she will pull double duty as both the host and musical guest of its Oct. 18 episode. Bad Bunny and Amy Poehler will also host episodes at the beginning of the upcoming season — which kicks off Oct. 4 — while Doja Cat and Role Model will serve as the first two musical guests. Shortly after the news was unveiled, Carpenter shared it on her Instagram and wrote, “they’re gonna regret this.” The Grammy winner’s hosting debut has been a long time coming. She first appeared on the show in May 2024 to perform her breakthrough single “Espresso,” a few months after which she joined in on SNL‘s 50th-anniversary festivities to perform “Homeward Bound” with Paul Simon and star alongside Pedro Pascal in a hilarious “Domingo” sketch. Now, Carpenter will return to 30 Rock with a brand-new album under her belt, with Man’s Best Friend dropping in August. Featuring Billboard Hot 100-topping lead single “Manchild,” the project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking Carpenter’s second album to do so. “you guys have made Man’s Best Friend my second #1 album and my highest debut ever,” she reacted on Instagram at the time. “that is very surreal!!! i feel so lucky to have such beautiful love and support all around me … to see the way you are all resonating with it just makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”    Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link

Margo Price Reacts to ‘Kimmel’ Suspension After Final Performance

Margo Price had no idea when she performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday (Sept. 16) that she would be its last musical guest before ABC’s controversial decision to suspend it this week — but at least she helped the show go out with a poignant message. In a Thursday (Sept. 16) post on Instagram, the country star shared a clip from her performance of “Don’t Let the Bastards Get You Down” on the late-night show and wrote, “If this was the last word, I’m glad it was mine.” The lyrics Price sings in the clip are extra meaningful now. “Keep all them fascists underground,” she sings in the video, passionately strumming a guitar. “Don’t let the bastards get you down.” Her post comes one day after ABC announced that it was “indefinitely” shutting down Kimmel after the late night host made comments during his monologue on the episode featuring Price’s performance. Jimmy Kimmel’s contested remarks had been in response to the assassination of Turning Point founder and polarizing political commentator Charlie Kirk the week prior. “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel had said on the program. After the comedian’s comments, Nexstar — which owns 28 local affiliate stations of NBC — announced that it would be suspending Kimmel for the immediate future. Shortly before that, Federal Communications Commission chair Brendan Carr had threatened to revoke the licenses of any network affiliates choosing to air Kimmel’s remarks, which he referred to as “news distortion” and “the sickest conduct possible.” And while ABC’s suspension of Kimmel has prompted an outcry of concern that the decision directly infringes on free-speech laws, President Donald Trump celebrated the news with a post on Truth Social. “Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done,” he wrote Wednesdsay (Sept. 17). “That leaves Jimmy (Fallon) and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!!”    Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link

LeBron James Addresses Status of Drake Friendship

Even as Drake and LeBron James’ once-strong bond has evolved over the past year and a half, the legendary basketball star is making it clear that he still has plenty of respect for the rapper. The Lakers forward addressed his current relationship with Drizzy during a 360 interview with Complex‘s Speedy Mormon on Thursday (Sept. 18), and while things appear to be icy between the pair of superstars, it’s still love from King James’ side. “Always wish him the best,” James said. “Obviously [we’re in] different places right now, currently. He’s doing his thing, I’m doing mine, but it’s always love for sure.” LeBron and Drake were cool dating back to Drizzy’s So Far Gone era in 2009. In 2023, Drake even walked to the stage through the crowd with James and his son, Bronny, following Bronny’s health scare during an L.A. show on his It’s All A Blur Tour. Things appeared to change following Drake’s battle with Kendrick Lamar, when James pulled up to Kendrick’s Pop Out concert last June, which Drizzy seemed to take personally when he let his displeasure with James be known while seemingly sniping at him on a pair of tracks. His leaked “Fighting Irish Freestyle” appeared to take shots at LeBron and those who crossed him. “The world fell in love with the gimmicks, even my brothers got tickets, seemed like they loved every minute/ Just know the s–t is personal to us and wasn’t just business/ Analyzing behavioral patterns is somewhat suspicious,” Drake raps on the Conductor Williams-produced track. Drake may have addressed LeBron again on July’s “What Did I Miss?” track, as he called out a friend who attended the Pop Out show. “I saw bro went to Pop Out with them, but been d—k riding gang since ‘Headlines,’” he spews. The 6 God’s LeBron James high school jersey tattoo is no more, after Drake covered up the ink with a tattoo representing Canada’s own NBA MVP and Oklahoma City Thunder champion Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. It remains to be seen if Drake will have any more bars for James on his upcoming Iceman album. Watch the full interview below. Talk about Drake takes place around the 15:40 mark. Source link

Cardi B Responds to Young Thug Pushing His Album Release Back

Young Thug is happily clearing the way for the arrival of Cardi B‘s long-awaited sophomore album Am I the Drama? Friday (Sept. 19) by making sure his own upcoming album UY Scuti drops later. “Yall know I wasn’t dropping Friday. It’s a ladies day,” he wrote on X Wednesday night (Sept. 17) with a heart emoji. “Do yo s–t @iamcardib.” She sent back her own words of encouragement by replying, “And you better step next week …you got this, You know this !!” Ahead of Am I the Drama?, Cardi revealed the album’s 23-song tracklist Thursday (Sept. 18), which includes previously released singles “WAP” (featuring Megan Thee Stallion), “Up,” “Outside” and “Imaginary Playerz” as well as more collaborations with Summer Walker (“Dead” and “Shower Tears”), Selena Gomez (“Pick It Up”), Kehlani (“Safe”), Lizzo (“What’s Goin On”), Cash Cobain (“Better Than You”), Lourdiz (“On My Back”), Janet Jackson (“Principal”), and Tyla (“Nice Guy”). As for Thugger’s UY Scuti, he initially revealed this Friday as the release date at the tail end of his apologetic “Miss My Dogs” video that dropped last week, which addressed his trials and tribulations with his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist, Drake, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Future and Lil Baby. In a since-expired Instagram Story from Wednesday, the Altanta-bred MC teased another track with producer 808 Mafia while writing “Next Friday,” meaning Sept. 26. UY Scuti is now expected to drop the same day as Mariah Carey’s sixteenth studio album Here for It All and Doja Cat’s fifth studio album Vie. Earlier this week, Thug was announced as one of the performers at Coachella next year, marking another major post-prison performance following his headlining stint at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash this past June and ComplexCon next month. Faye Webster, Kneecap & More Artists Remove Their Music From Israel

Hundreds of artists have yanked their music from streaming services in Israel to protest the ongoing violence against Palestinian people, including Kneecap, Faye Webster and Japanese Breakfast. Aminé, Massive Attack, Soccer Mommy, Rina Sawayama, Fontaines D.C., MIKE, Primal Scream and Fontaines D.C. are also among the artists who have joined the movement, which is called “No Music for Genocide.” The initiative is accompanied by a new website, which features educational resources and shares the full list of more than 400 acts and record labels that have made their catalogs unavailable to play on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music in Israel. “No Music For Genocide is a cultural boycott of Israel,” reads the project’s mission statement. “Over 400 initial artists and labels have geo-blocked and removed their music from that territory in response to Israel’s genocide in Gaza; ethnic cleansing of the Occupied West Bank; apartheid within Israel / ’48; political repression of Pro-Palestine efforts wherever we live; and the music industry’s own ties to weapons and crimes against humanity.” “This tangible act is just one step toward honoring Palestinian demands to isolate and delegitimize Israel as it kills without consequence on the world stage,” it continues. “The successful cultural boycotts against apartheid South Africa prove that our creative work grants us agency and power. When we wield it together, we add unified pressure to a growing, global, interdependent movement, from Hollywood to the docks of Morocco.” The movement comes just a few weeks before the two-year mark in Israel’s war against Hamas, which began after the deadly terrorist attacks on Oct. 7, 2023. Since then, more than 65,000 Palestinians have been killed in the violence — while countless others have lived in a continued state of hunger and homelessness — and a United Nations commission recently declared that Israel is guilty of genocide, which the country denies. Though kicking off with more than 400 names on its list, the “No Music for Genocide” boycott still wants more artists who believe in the cause to follow suit and pull their catalogs from Israel as well. It marks just the latest music-related initiative to end the suffering in Gaza in recent weeks, following on the heels of the “Together for Palestine” benefit concert in London overseen by Brian Eno. Information on how to join or support the boycott is also available on its website. Source link
