Field & Stream Festival Canceled for 2025

The Field & Stream Music Fest, which had been slated for Oct. 3-5 in Winnsboro, S.C., has been canceled for 2025. A statement from the festival’s organizers, posted on the festival’s website, noted, “Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, Field & Stream Music Fest has been canceled.” Billboard has reached out to reps for the Field & Stream Festival for comment. Explore See latest videos, charts and news The festival was set to feature headliners Miranda Lambert, ZZ Top, Bailey Zimmerman, Lynyrd Sknynrd, Riley Green and Eric Church, with more performers on the lineup including Tyler Farr, Ashley McBryde, Ashland Craft, Kameron Marlowe. The statement from Field & Stream Music Fest organizers added, “The refund process will commence immediately and will cover all Field & Stream purchases tied to your order, including tickets, upgrades, camping, parking, add-ons, taxes and fees.” Last year, the festival was canceled due to Hurricane Helene. That year’s lineup was to feature Lainey Wilson, Church and ZZ Top, among others. In early 2024, it was revealed that Church and Morgan Wallen were part of an ownership group that acquired the retail side of the Field & Stream trademark. That announcement also revealed plans to launch a fall music festival. “I can remember my grandfather kept a few of his favorite Field & Stream magazines on the dash of his truck,” Church previously said in a statement. “That truck took us on hundreds of outdoor adventures and I all but memorized every story and every picture on every page. They were my Bible. It is the honor of my life to make sure that legacy carries on. It is both this responsibility to an American icon and also to a young boy in his papaw’s truck that will be the compass that guides our steps.”  Wallen previously said, “There’s nothin’ I love more than being with friends around a campfire, on a boat or in a deer stand — and Field & Stream represents all of those to me. Being part of its future is incredible and we want to keep bringing people together outdoors, makin’ memories, for generations to come.”  Source link

Danna, Mariachi, & More Surprises

Colombian superstar Shakira made her big return to the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City on Tuesday (Aug. 26) for the eighth night of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour. And she delivered plenty of surprises: from Mexican star Danna becoming the tour’s first female guest, to an emotional tribute to her father with a mariachi band and fresh new outfits. In front of 60,000 fans, according to promoter OCESA, the self-proclaimed La Loba kicked off the second leg of her highly successful tour in Mexico, aiming to complete a historic run of 12 concerts at the stadium. This milestone makes her the first artist to perform that many shows at the venue (formerly known as Foro Sol), surpassing Grupo Firme’s nine dates and the upcoming eight from Bad Bunny, who is set to perform there in December as part of his DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour. “Mexico is my home. These past years haven’t been easy, but when we fall, we get back up,” Shakira told thousands of her fans, visibly moved, before performing “Estoy Aquí,” the iconic track from her 1995 album Pies Descalzos. The record, which helped her win over Mexico and Latin America, is being celebrated during this second leg of her tour. Shakira takes the stage again Wednesday (Aug. 27), Friday (Aug. 29), and Saturday (Aug.30) at the GNP Seguros Stadium, before wrapping up her record-breaking run at the venue on Sep. 18 and continuing her tour through other Latin American countries. Here are some of the surprises from her return to Mexico City. Danna & Shak Double Down On Their Friendship Shakira reaffirmed her bond with pop star Danna by inviting her on stage to perform Shak’s hit song “Soltera”. While the younger Mexican singer isn’t featured on the original version of the track, she did appear in the 2024 music video, alongside other big names like Venezuelan content creator and singer Lele Pons, and Dominican star Natti Natasha. Danna, who’s also an actress, made history as the first female artist to join the Colombian superstar on stage during her global Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour. The two stars exchanged heartfelt messages of love and mutual admiration, while nailing the sensual dance moves that are a signature part of the song’s choreography. “What a beautiful woman, what talent!” Shakira exclaimed as she embraced her colleague. “You were there at the beginning of all this, with ‘Soltera,’ supporting me.” Danna replied, “Shaki, Mexico is your home, Mexico loves you. May they keep welcoming you with this kind of love!” Shakira Can Hold Her Own When It Comes to Rancheras One of the most emotional moments of the night came during a segment the Colombian star dedicated to Mexico, where she pleasantly surprised the crowd by singing traditional Mexican music. Backed by the mariachi group Gama Mil, Shakira paid tribute to her father, William Mebarak Chadid, by performing “Sombras Nada Más,” a song made famous by the legendary ranchera singer Javier Solís. “This is dedicated to my dad, who would be so proud to see me singing this tonight,” Shakira said. A Trip Down Memory Lane During the second leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour across Latin America, Shakira took some time to revisit a few of the most iconic songs from her legendary album Pies Descalzos, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. This was the album that catapulted the Colombian star to fame across Latin America — but especially in Mexico, where she was warmly embraced as a young singer-songwriter with long, dark hair who captivated audiences with her pop-rock sound and heartfelt lyrics. Among the highlights of the night were classics from that album: “Estoy Aquí,” “Antología” and “Pies Descalzos, Sueños Blancos.” Changes to the Setlist For the second leg of her tour, the Colombian artist has made some tweaks to her repertoire, taking out a few songs and adding others. This time around, the setlist includes “Día de Enero,” which she performed during her show in Tijuana on Aug. 11 after years of not singing it, along with “Si Te Vas,” “Pies Descalzos, Sueños Blancos,” and “(Entre Paréntesis).” Meanwhile, the songs that were dropped from the list are “Poem to a Horse,” “Loca,” “Cómo Dónde y Cuándo” and “Te Aviso, Te Anuncio.” Shakira’s New Tour Outfits The outfits Shakira is rocking on this leg of her tour have gone through a few updates. For example, the bodysuit she wears under her crystal-embroidered jumpsuit at the start of the show — originally inspired by vintage Versace swimwear — has switched colors, going from pink to purple. Another standout is the outfit she wears during the Mexican segment of her show. Shakira goes full cowgirl with a norteña-styled look, complete with a cowboy hat, silver pants, and a matching fringe jacket by Mexican designer Verónica Solís. The ensemble is full of Mexican-inspired details, including hand-painted images of the Virgin of Guadalupe — who holds a special place in the culture and religious life of many Mexicans and Mexican Americans — and traditional “Milagrito” charms (Mexican hearts). Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR’s ‘Somebody Loves Me’ Video Gets 19 Versions

With a push from Kai Cenat, Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR gave creators of varying expertise the chance to direct their own music videos for “Somebody Loves Me.” After sifting through thousands of entries, Drizzy and PND brought the 19 best visions to life from different aspiring creatives, which were released on the Drake Related website on Wednesday (Aug. 27). Explore See latest videos, charts and news “Our finalists represent a diverse range of experience levels, as we were committed to giving new and emerging directors — including a few first-time directors — the opportunity to showcase their talent,” a message on the website reads. Various storylines and interpretations of “Somebody Loves Me” are delivered throughout the 19 short films. Jordan Sook’s video finds Drake and Party as puppets while sipping lean and taking a yacht out with plenty of women, and even hopping on Air Drake. Dito Andres went the animated route, with Drake and Party’s mothers serving as “celestial guardian angels looking down on their sons.” Kristen Lambie’s visual tugged on the heartstrings with the past and present on a collision course. A 70-year-old Black man is reminiscing while paying a visit to locations where he experienced the euphoria of love during his relationship. Edgar Daniel had an interesting approach, putting his spin on the visual by hosting a casting call that invited women to audition and interview for cameos in the “Somebody Loves Me” video. The idea to give aspiring directors a chance came to life in May after Kai Cenat voiced his hope to see the “Nokia” video go a different direction. Cenat and Drake then revealed the winners in June, before the 19 visuals hit the Drake Directed website on Wednesday (Aug. 27). “Somebody Loves Me” landed on Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s $ome $exy $ongs 4 U project in February. The standout track peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link

Travis Kelce Talks Taylor Swift Easter Eggs & His ‘Showgirl’ Favorites

As Taylor Swift‘s boyfriend — and now, fiancé — Travis Kelce‘s had the rare chance to hear her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, before most anyone else. And on the latest episode of his and brother Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast posted Wednesday (Aug. 27), the Kansas City Chiefs tight end confirmed that he’s been “dancing all throughout the house” while playing the Oct. 3-slated project on repeat. “I’m gonna go ahead and just keep poking the bear to all the Swifties,” he said on the show. “I keep listening to this album.” “I know she mentioned that it’s gonna be a lot more pop beats, but it’s just still so poetic in her melodies and her references and stuff,” he continued. “It’s just so much fun to listen to, man. I’ve been dancing all throughout the house.” When asked by the retired Philadelphia Eagles center which song on Showgirl is his favorite, Travis named track No. 3: “Opalite.” “At least right now, every time it comes on, I always catch myself [dancing],” he added, doing a little shoulder shimmy. The new episode comes two weeks after Swift made a cameo on New Heights to share details about Showgirl in her debut appearance on the podcast, which premiered one day after she announced the album. This week’s installment of the show comes one day after she and Travis revealed their internet-breaking engagement, which the Kelce brothers didn’t get to chat about this time as the new episode was taped before the big announcement. Speaking of Swift’s New Heights appearance, though, Travis did confirm that the Eras Tour headliner did use their on-camera conversation as a chance to drop some Easter eggs. That piece of information will definitely capture the attention of Swifties, as many of them were quick to speculate that Swift had snuck in teasers about her future ventures — such as potentially headlining Super Bowl 2026, for instance — into the episode. While the Happy Gilmore 2 star remained tight-lipped about what exactly Swift revealed on the show — to Jason’s frustration — he shared, “I know Tay walked away absolutely ecstatic and excited and happy that she came on here and had her first podcast experience with me and you, man.” “She walked away, like, flying around,” Travis continued. “She was having so much fun getting to tell everyone about the album and obviously dropping a few Easter eggs and seeing if anyone caught on.” Watch the new episode of New Heights below. Radiohead’s ‘Let Down’ Debuts on the Hot 100 After 28 Years

Radiohead is back on the Billboard Hot 100 this week for the first time in 17 years, but it’s not with a new release. Instead, it’s with OK Computer standout “Let Down” — which debuts at No. 91 (on the chart dated Aug. 30, 2025), 28 years after its release. Explore See latest videos, charts and news The song earns the band its fourth career chart entry on the Hot 100, after “Creep” (No. 34 peak in 1993), “High and Dry” (No. 78; 1996) and “Nude” (No. 37; 2008). Unlike those earlier appearances, which were powered by a radio push and/or digital sales, “Let Down” debuts almost entirely from streaming: the song earned 5.2 million official U.S. streams in the latest tracking week (Aug. 15-21), up 4% week-over-week, according to Luminate. It’s not particularly uncommon in this era for catalog songs to land on the Hot 100 long after their release. Earlier this month, for example, Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” entered for the first time, 45 years after its release, following the singer’s death. In June, Coldplay’s 2000 song “Sparks” debuted after Chris Martin’s tearful live performance tied to his rumored breakup with Dakota Johnson (and it continues to chart six weeks later, ranking at No. 81 this week). And, among others, Nirvana’s 1991 Nevermind deep cut “Something in the Way” surged onto the chart in 2022 after its use in The Batman. Those songs had clear catalysts — a major film/TV sync, a viral moment, an artist’s passing. Another common reason is annual resurgences around holidays. Radiohead’s “Let Down” debut stands out, though, in that its rise has been slow and steady, and harder to pin to one event. The song resurfaced in 2022 after its placement in The Bear’s first-season finale, but that renewed attention wasn’t enough to help it return to any charts. This summer, it’s gradually grown on TikTok and crossed back onto Billboard’s rock charts. It first charted in 1997 after it was released as an official single, peaking at No. 29 on Alternative Airplay. The song’s TikTok traction picked up late last year when users began pairing it with clips capturing various melancholic moments. That carried into this year during the wave of speculation about a potential TikTok shutdown, when “Let Down” became the go-to song to soundtrack future uncertainty. More recently, though, its presence has broadened — the track now surfaces across posts expressing all kinds of emotions and drama. Here’s a week-by-week breakdown of the song’s on-demand official U.S. streams this summer, according to Luminate: May 30-June 5: 4 million (up 18%)June 6-12: 4.3 million (up 8%)June 13-19: 4.2 million (down 2%)June 20-26: 4.2 million (down 1%)June 21-July 3: 4.5 million (up 8%)July 4-10: 4.5 million (up/down 0%)July 11-17: 4.8 million (up 5%)July 18-24: 4.9 million (up 4%)July 25-31: 4.9 million (down 1%)Aug. 1-7: 5 million (up 2%)Aug. 8-14: 5 million (up/down 0%)Aug. 15-21: 5.2 million (up 4%) Those are solid weekly totals for a song nearly 30 years old. But what those streams tell us is that there hasn’t been a sudden viral spike, but rather a gradual climb — it’s been a rare slow burn compared to how most catalog songs have a sudden viral moment tied to their chart debuts or re-entries, and then fall away. What’s more, “Let Down” isn’t even Radiohead’s most-streamed track right now. “Creep” raked in 7.4 million streams in the latest week, but recurrent rules keep it off the Hot 100 (since it already charted in 1993, it would need to have enough chart points to rank in the top 50 in order to return). On the Billboard Global 200, “Creep” ranks at No. 32, while “Let Down” is No. 103. Still, the arrival of “Let Down” reinforces how deep catalogs are thriving in the streaming era. Alongside “Creep,” Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 classic “Dreams” and Goo Goo Dolls’ 1998 hit “Iris” both rank on this week’s Streaming Songs chart, all pulling in strong streaming numbers (10.5 million and 8.3 million, respectively). It’s proof that old music can still find a fresh audience decades later, and not necessarily through a viral moment. Source link

Ariana Grande Teases Upcoming Announcement: ‘See You Next Year’

The sun hasn’t completely gone down on Ariana Grande‘s Eternal Sunshine era, which the pop star has teased will continue next year with an exciting new venture. In a cryptic Instagram video posted Wednesday (Aug. 27), Grande’s hand trembles as she tries to tap on a screen reading, “A corrupt file has been found and corrected.” The video then cuts to the following text: “See you next year … Announcement loading …” The Grammy winner didn’t give any further information about what she’s teasing in the video, but fans can surmise that it has something to do with her Billboard 200-topping seventh album, as she shared the clip in a joint post with her Brighter Days Instagram account. The sci-fi visual also matches the aesthetic of parts of Grande’s Eternal Sunshine: Brighter Days Ahead short film, which she released in April along with the deluxe version of the album. Beyond those clues, it’s hard to say what Grande might be teasing — but it’s very possible that she’s gearing up to announce a run of live shows for Eternal Sunshine. Though she previously said that she didn’t see herself touring in the foreseeable future, she did recently reveal that she was “working on a plan to sing for you all next year.” “even if it’s just for a little,” she added in a July post. “very silly of you all to assume that just because i have my hands full with many things that i plan to abandon singing & music … !!! it is and has always been my lifeline. there will need to be room made for all of it.” Originally released in March 2024, Eternal Sunshine spawned two No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).” Collecting three weeks total atop the Billboard 200, Eternal Sunshine got a second life earlier this year with a deluxe edition released a few months after the November premiere of Wicked. Mariah Carey Says She Wishes She Had Opportunity to Date 2Pac

2Pac is the one that got away for Mariah Carey. Mimi joined Power 106’s Brown Bag Mornings on Tuesday (Aug. 26), where she recalled an encounter with the late Death Row rapper at the 1996 American Music Awards, which made her heart skip a beat. Explore See latest videos, charts and news “Well, he said it like ‘Hi, Mariah,’ and I was like [ahhh],” she said of the brief interaction with 2Pac after he jumped out of a white Rolls-Royce, which left her with “more than butterflies.” She continued: “I was hosting the AMAs that year so I had to keep going back and forth, but I wanted to keep going back and forth because that happened.” “I love hip-hop and I love the moments that we’re talking about, especially ‘Hi, Mariah.’ So yeah, it was a pretty major moment for me to say the least,” the singer said before adding she definitely wanted to collaborate with Pac on a song. Co-host Letty Peniche gushed about Mariah and 2Pac being the ultimate celebrity power couple if they ever had the chance to date. “I wish,” Carey bluntly replied. While the pair of music icons never joined forces on a track, Mariah did interpolate Pac’s “Me and My Girlfriend” on 1999’s “How Much,” following the rapper’s death in September 1996. September is gearing up to be a busy month for Mariah Carey, who will be receiving the honor of the Video Vanguard Award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. Carey’s next album, Here For It All, is due out on Sept. 26. Watch the interview clip with Mariah Carey below. Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link

Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Engagement Post Breaks Instagram Record

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s post on Instagram announcing their engagement got a lot of, well, engagement. According to data shared with Billboard on Wednesday (Aug. 27), Meta counts that the photos of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end proposing to the pop star have surpassed 1 million reposts on Instagram — more than any other post has ever received on the platform. Even more impressive, the couple’s announcement achieved that record in just six hours. The news comes after Billboard previously reported that the post had earned 14 million “likes” in just one hour. At press time, Instagram displays that it has surged past 29 million. If there was ever going to be a post that would garner such high stats, it’s Swift and Kelce’s. The duo’s big reveal — which they shared by writing, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married” — sent the internet into an absolute frenzy, with fans flooding social media with messages of shock and congratulations. Even President Donald Trump got in on the action, setting aside his grievances with the 14-time Grammy winner to say during a cabinet meeting, “I think he’s a great guy, and she’s a terrific person, so I wish them a lot of luck.” The engagement comes after about two years of dating for Swift and the athlete, who popped the question two weeks prior to their Tuesday (Aug. 26) announcement, according to Kelce’s dad, Ed. The lovebirds now have wedding planning to add to their busy schedules, which features the beginning of the Chiefs’ football season on Sept. 5 and the release of the musician’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3. Fired Cradle of Filth Guitarist Blasts Band, ‘Clown’ Ed Sheeran Collab

Cradle of Filth guitarist Marek “Ashok” Šmerda took a number of shots at his now-former band just days after his wife, keyboardist Zoe Marie Federoff, left the British black metal group abruptly mid-tour, including mocking the group’s long-anticipated collaboration with Ed Sheeran. Explore See latest videos, charts and news “I ask you to please respect my wife and myself in this transitional period. I am indeed leaving Cradle of Filth at the end of this current tour, and the reasons behind this are conclusions my wife and I came together at long before this week. We simply do not feel like Cradle can provide for our future, and in fact hinders it,” Šmerda wrote on Facebook on Tuesday (Aug. 26). “Among other reasons it is a lot of work for relatively low pay, the stress is quite high, and we haven’t felt for a while like this band actually prioritizing/caring about members. It has been years of unprofessional behavior from people above us that led to our decision.” Šmerda’s post came two days after wife Federoff, who joined the group in 2022, announced her departure in a post in which she explained, “It is with deep regret I share that for personal reasons I am unable to continue this tour and continue in general with Cradle of Filth. Please respect my privacy and my family’s privacy. I will answer no further questions. Be kind to my successor. I wish her and my now former bandmates well.” In addition to announcing his intention to split with the extreme metal band he joined in 2014, Šmerda threw some shade at the group, specifically tied to their untitled, long-delayed collab with Sheeran. “I have also asked all compositions of mine removed from upcoming releases including Ed Sheeran collab,” he wrote. “This song feels like foolish clown antics for me at this point anyways- first it was charity single for kids, then for profit single, then on next album, and now who knows and I just do not want to be involved anymore, no disrespect to Ed Sheeran.” Though a release date has not yet been announced, CoF singer Dani Filth first mentioned the Sheeran collab in 2022. Earlier this year, he confirmed that the song would not be on the band’s latest album, The Screaming of the Valkyries, because they didn’t want to “overshadow” their own LP. “But we are going to bring it out. Originally, everybody wanted us to bring it out to glorious fanfare but Ed’s management weren’t keen on that,” Filth said. “We’re not absolutely sure how it will emerge, but it’s been done, mixed and it’s sitting on the shelf somewhere… you know, virtually. And it’s f–king fantastic. But only a handful of people have actually heard it. My mum hasn’t even heard it.” Filth described the track as sounding like, “a cross between Ed Sheeran and Cradle of Filth! You hear it and go, ‘Oh, my God, f–k me, acoustic guitar, that’s Ed Sheeran.’ Then at the same time, you can flip the coin and go, ‘F–k me, this is a Cradle Of Filth song: blastbeat, Dani screaming.’ Obviously, he wouldn’t put his name to a technical death metal track and we wouldn’t put our name to a song that sounded like ‘Galway’ Girl part 2. It’s catchy, though. It’s a good marriage.” And though Šmerda rubbished salacious internet speculation on why he and Federoff were splitting with the group, he promised to “finish strong” on the band’s current South American tour, slated to run through a Sept. 28 show in Mexico City, before moving on to Europe in November. “It is my last ride with Cradle and I am proud to give it my best,” he wrote. “I am sad to not share the stage with my wife these last times but I respect why she left and I am happy our friend Kelsey Peters has been given opportunity to shine.” Cradle of Filth was founded in Suffolk, England in 1991 by singer Dani Filth along with guitarist Paul Ryan, bassist Jon Pritchard, keyboardist Benjamin Ryan and drummer Darren “Daz” Gardner; at present Filth is the only remaining original member of the band that has cycled through nearly three dozen members over the past 35 years. At press time, spokespeople for Cradle of Filth and Sheeran had not returned Billboard‘s request for comment on Šmerda’s statement, but the band made their position on the matter crystal clear in an Instagram post (see below). “It is with a grave heart that Cradle Of Filth officially announce the firing of guitarist Marek ‘Ashok’ Smerda from the band, effective immediately,” they wrote on Tuesday night (Aug. 26) of the guitarist’s apparent sacking. “Despite all attempts to illegally defame and derail the band, Cradle Of Filth WILL NOT cancel any of our South American shows, though fans will have to bear with us being a band with only one guitarist live, that is of course until Ashok’s temporary replacement is flown out to join the tour in a few days time,” they continued. “Thank you for your understanding in this horrible matter, we are all in a state of shock over proceedings and will share our side to these unfortunate events in due course. Please, respect our decision to part with Ashok now rather than at the end of the tour and avoid speculation as more clarity on the situation will be provided.” The message also noted that the rest of the Dani Filth-led group are “cool,” though taken aback, by the accusations about their management, which they called “unjust and unfounded.” They ended with the message, “Patience is a virtue and the truth will always out.” See the band’s full statement below.
