Chappell Roan’s ‘Hot To Go!’ Reigns on Top TV Songs Chart for July

The latest season of Amazon Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty dominates Billboard’s Top TV Songs chart, powered by Tunefind (a Songtradr company), for July 2025, paced by Chappell Roan’s “Hot To Go!” Explore See latest videos, charts and news Rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on song and show data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending that data with sales and streaming information tracked by Luminate during the corresponding period of July 2025. The third season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, the series’ last, premiered July 16 after a nearly two-year break. Four of the season’s episodes arrived during July, thereby making it eligible for the latest Top TV Songs tally. And debut they did: music from the series occupies eight of the chart’s 10 positions, led by “Hot To Go!,” which bows at No. 1 with 20 million official on-demand U.S. streams and 2,000 downloads sold in July 2025, according to Luminate. “Hot To Go!” appears in the first episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty’s third season, as do the other songs in the tally’s top four: Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Can’t Stop” (No. 2; 16.3 million streams, 1,000 sold), The Cranberries’ “Dreams” (No. 3; 8.6 million streams, 2,000 sold) and Jack Harlow’s “Lovin On Me” (No. 4; 13.5 million streams, 1,000 sold). All four songs have previous Billboard chart history, paced by “Lovin On Me,” which ruled the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks beginning in 2023. “Hot To Go!” reached No. 15 last year, “Dreams” rose to No. 42 in 1994 and “Can’t Stop” hit No. 57 in 2003. “Dreams” also hit No. 15 on Alternative Airplay in its original run and “Can’t Stop” notched three weeks at No. 1 on the chart. The other two series represented on the latest Top TV Songs list are And Just Like That… and Untamed. The former is at No. 5 via Kim Carnes’ 1981 Hot 100 No. 1 “Bette Davis Eyes” (6.3 million streams, 2,000 sold), with the latter at No. 9 thanks to Colter Wall’s “Sleeping on the Blacktop” (8.2 million streams, 1,000 sold). ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Takes Up Top Seven of Top Movie Song Chart

KPop Demon Hunters fever reaches Billboard’s Top Movie Songs chart, powered by Tunefind (a Songtradr company), with Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “Golden” topping the July 2025-dated ranking. Explore See latest videos, charts and news Rankings for the Top Movie Songs chart are based on song and film data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending that data with sales and streaming information tracked by Luminate during the corresponding period of July 2025. The ranking includes newly released films from the preceding three months. Though it was released on June 20 on Netflix, KPop Demon Hunters music did not make enough of an impact to reach the June 2025-dated ranking, which was led by Tate McRae’s “Just Keep Watching” from F1: The Movie. Not so on the July tally, which has eight of the chart’s 10 positions claimed by KPop Demon Hunters tracks, including the entire top seven. That’s the most at once since the ranking’s inception last September. HUNTR/X’s “Golden,” which concurrently tops the Hot 100 (dated Aug. 30) for a second week, enters at No. 1 on Top Movie Songs. In July, the song earned 108.9 million official on-demand streams and sold 17,000 downloads in the United States, according to Luminate. Saja Boys’ “Your Idol” follows at No. 2 (83.7 million streams, 9,000 sold) and HUNTR/X’s “What It Sounds Like” rounds out the top three (53.7 million streams, 10,000 sold). What’s significant about KPop Demon Hunters’ July 2025 dominance is that it comes at the expense of a pair of songs from Superman, whose metrics might normally allow them to challenge for the chart’s uppermost reaches. The superhero film, released July 11, fills out the chart’s other two positions, with Teddybears’ Iggy Pop-featuring “Punkrocker” at No. 8 (10.2 million streams, 7,000 sold) and Noah and the Whale’s “5 Years Time” at No. 10 (4.2 million streams, 2,000 sold). Like KPop Demon Hunters’ soundtrack, “Punkrocker” has had a presence on the weekly Billboard charts since the release of its corresponding movie. The 2006 song hit No. 20 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs ranking dated this Aug. 2 and led the Alternative Digital Song Sales ranking for two weeks after the movie’s premiere; it ranks at No. 2 on the Aug. 30-dated list. ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ ‘Golden’ No. 1 on U.K. Singles chart for 4th Week

Netflix global smash KPop Demon Hunters goes “Golden” once again on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, clinching the top spot for its fourth non-consecutive week on the chart dated Aug. 29. Explore See latest videos, charts and news The track, which is credited to the film’s animated girl group HUNTR/X and performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, holds court as the longest-running K-pop No. 1 in U.K. chart history. It’s also only the second K-pop single ever to hit the summit on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, following PSY’s viral number “Gangnam Style,” which graced the top spot for one week in 2012. Congratulations are in order for breakthrough star Olivia Dean, who this week becomes the first British female artist since Adele to score three U.K. top 10 singles simultaneously. Landing at No. 2, “Man I Need” becomes the 26-year-old’s highest charting song to date, while “Nice to Each Other” and Sam Fender collab “Rein Me In” follow at No. 7 and No. 10 respectively. Earlier Friday, Dean shared the news via Instagram that she has sold out four nights at London’s O2 Arena, which are scheduled to take place next spring (April 29-30, May 1-2). The gigs form part of a wider U.K. and European headline tour, which takes in dates across Manchester, Glasgow, Stockholm and more. Disco Lines and Tinashe’s “No Broke Boys” is a non-mover at No. 3, while Saja Boys, another fictional group from KPop Demon Hunters, follow at No. 4. Following a spectacular Reading & Leeds headline slot, Chappell Roan’s former chart-topper “The Subway” completes the top five. K-pop continues to boom further down the chart, with a further five tracks from the genre securing spots throughout the top 40. Another Saja Boys song, “Your Idol,” finishes at No. 6, while “Takedown” and “Strategy,” TWICE’s contributions to the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, lift to No. 27 and No. 39.  BLACKPINK’s Diplo-produced banger “JUMP” falls seven spots to No. 29, while boy band Stray Kids – who sold out two shows at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in July – come in at No. 37 with “Ceremony.”  Source link

Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Man’s Best Friend’ & More: Best New Music Poll

This week brought one of the most highly anticipated pop album releases of the year, with Sabrina Carpenter‘s Man’s Best Friend finally arriving Friday (Aug. 29). Following almost exactly one year after the release of 2024’s Billboard 200-topper Short n’ Sweet, the Jack Antonoff-produced LP finds the pint-sized pop star sticking to her guns with her signature turn-of-phrase and oftentimes NSFW lyrics. At the same time, she branches further into some of her favorite retro genres with musical moments that sound like they’re straight out of the ’80s. But while Carpenter may have had the most talked-about release this week, Man’s Best Friend is just one of several new albums that arrived at the tail end of August. Zach Top also showed off his lyricism on new country LP Ain’t In It for My Health, while Hayley Williams packaged her previously released collections of singles onto a proper album titled Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, complete with a brand new track titled “Parachute.” Plus, Skepta and Fred Again.. teamed up on collaborative effort Skepta .. Fred, Blood Orange squeezed out the sonically juicy Essex Honey and The Beths unleashed Straight Line Was a Lie, while DJ Khaled dropped a duo of singles and country ingenue Baylee Lynn debuted with first-ever single “Cautiously Optimistic.” And while that’s a ton of new music to get through at once, Billboard, as always, wants to know which release is your favorite. Tell us your pick by voting in the poll below — it’s so easy, even a “Manchild” can do it. Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link

Wolf Alice’s ‘The Clearing’ Is No. 1 on U.K. Albums Chart

British indie band Wolf Alice collects its second U.K. No. 1 record as The Clearing bows atop the Official U.K. Albums Chart on Friday (Aug. 29). The London four-piece – comprised of vocalist Ellie Rowsell, guitarist Joff Oddie, bassist Theo Ellis and drummer Joel Amey – first hit the summit back in 2021 with Blue Weekend. Their first two full-length efforts, 2015’s My Love Is Cool and 2017’s Mercury Prize-winning Visions of a Life, both peaked at No. 2. The Clearing marks the band’s maiden major label LP, having left Dirty Hit last year to sign with Columbia Records. They’ll support the release with an extensive North American trek through the fall, concluding with a night at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Oct. 13. After a run of European dates, they’ll return to British and Irish shores in late November for their debut arena tour. Deftones, meanwhile, score a career-best with Private Music finishing at No. 2, marking the seminal band’s third consecutive U.K. top 10 album. Modern jazz-pop pioneer Laufey follows at No. 3 with A Matter of Time, also her highest chart placing to date. Explore See latest videos, charts and news Oasis mania continues to pervade the U.K., with the Britpop icons securing three top 40 placements. 2010’s singles compilation Time Flies… 1994-2009 finishes at No. 4, while 1995’s Definitely Maybe – which celebrates its 30th anniversary Aug. 29 – closes the week at No. 11. Freshly released collectors’ box set Oasis: Complete Studio Album Collection lands at No. 39. The Gallagher brothers kicked off their North American tour in Toronto at the top of the week (Aug. 24). They will play a further two nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, having performed five shows at the iconic venue in July and August, on Sept. 27 and 28. Alex Warren’s first studio album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid, which arrived July 18, rounds out the top five. The California-born singer-songwriter continues to win fans in the U.K., having enjoyed a 13 week-long run at the top of the Official Singles Chart earlier this year with “Ordinary.” Source link

Best New Latin Music Poll

This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features new music, including fresh picks by Yeison Jiménez, Hamilton, Silvana Estrada, Mau y Ricky and Luis R Conriquez’s Meneo album, to name a few. Emerging Colombian artist Hamilton released his debut album, AFROROCKSTAR, and in honor of his first studio LP, he shared an emotional Instagram post. “I look back and see how much we’ve grown. I can’t help but cry,” he wrote. “Along the way, I stopped believing in easy things, in friendships that didn’t add up. I closed my heart, refined my circle, focused, and finally understood the true purpose of my music. Today I’m a different person. I’m deeply grateful to my loved ones, those who have been close, supporting me without letting go of my hand.” Meanwhile, brothers Mau y Ricky unveil La Llave as a follow up to their Latin Grammy-nominated album Hotel Caracas. “This EP feels like that perfect final chapter after Hotel Caracas — not only closing a cycle but doing it with the honesty and creativity we wanted to share with our people,” the sibling duo shared in a statement. “We renewed our connection with fellow Venezuelans like Yorghaki, Elena Rose and Danny [Ocean], and opened ourselves up again to collaborating with other artists — different from Hotel Caracas, which was a more introspective project focused on rediscovery.” Other new releases include Los Tucanes de Tijuana and Chalino Sánchez’s AI-friendly “Rigo Campos,” Tiego PZK’s “Domingo” and Esau Ortiz’s “Olvidándote.” Which release this week do you think is best? Travis Kelce Adds Taylor Swift-Inspired Cocktail to Restaurant Menu

Taylor Swift will soon be able to raise a toast to her real friends with a cocktail named after one of her songs, with Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes unveiling a new drink called The Alchemy on the drink menu for their future restaurant, 1587 Prime. In a video posted to the steakhouse’s Instagram on Thursday (Aug. 28), the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and quarterback taste-test one of the beverages their customers will be able to order once 1587 Prime opens its doors on Sept. 17. As the two football players sit at a white-clothed table, one of their colleagues serves up a pale-colored drink topped with flower buds wrapped in a fruit peel. “This is The Alchemy,” the colleague says as Kelce says approvingly, “Oh yeah, let’s see it.” The caption reads, “The cocktails you won’t stop talking about — and for good reason.” It’s not hard to guess where the Ohio native and his teammate got the inspiration for the name of the new recipe. “The Alchemy” is the title of one of Swift’s love songs on 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department, and fans have long believed that the pop star wrote it about her now-fiancé. (With lyrics such as, “Touchdown, call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team … Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me,” how could you not?) The drink is one of several aspects Kelce and Mahomes have teased about their new venture on social media ahead of opening day. On Instagram, the athletes have given future diners looks at the cuts of meat and luxurious, football-inspired decor they’re going to have at the location in Kansas City. “A contemporary steakhouse from NFL legends Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, created in partnership with Noble 33 and infused with the spirit of Kansas City,” reads a description of the restaurant on its website. Ahead of their business opening, Kelce and Mahomes also stepped out Thursday to watch the Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers football game. At the tight end’s side was Swift, wearing her sparkly new diamond ring in public for the first time since the couple announced their engagement on Tuesday (Aug. 26). Furui Riho Talks ‘Hello,’ Opening Theme for ‘CITY THE ANIMATION’

Furui Riho released her new single “Hello” on July 30. The eponymous title track on the single is the opening theme song for CITY THE ANIMATION, a new TV anime (and the first from Kyoto Animation in some time) which began airing on July 6. This is Furui Riho’s first-ever anime tie-up song. “Hello” is a brisk, exciting song whose theme is “reunion,” but it also has a lot of depth. The artist has said that she wrote the lyrics while struggling with the question of what kind of relationship she should have with the process of creating music. That’s why she made it a song with a positive message that would immediately resonate with listeners. Billboard JAPAN recently had the opportunity to talk with Furui Riho about her music. Explore See latest videos, charts and news You’ve just released your new single, “Hello,” the theme song to CITY THE ANIMATION, a new anime from Kyoto Animation. I know a lot of people have been waiting for this anime for a long time, so I’m sure that there’s also a tremendous amount of attention being paid to the theme song. How did you feel when you were chosen for the song? Honestly, I was like “Me? You’re really okay with that?” Of course, I was happy, but when I heard I’d been chosen for the theme song, and the opening theme song, no less, I also suddenly felt an immense amount of pressure. I was like, “What should I sing?” This is Kyoani’s first anime in a long time, so I’m sure that they thought a lot about what kind of anime to make before deciding on CITY. So that made me vaguely anxious about what kind of approach I should use—what kind of lyrics I should write and what kind of message I should convey. I couldn’t just go with a carefree approach, singing “Keep your head up and keep on pushing forward!” That would just feel irresponsible. Did the Kyoani staff have any requests about what kind of song they wanted? Yes. First, we had a meeting, and they played me a few Western songs for reference. Then they said “The feel of your song ‘LOA’ perfectly matches what we’re looking for.” But I can’t remake the exact same song, so I decided to make an even better song that incorporated the qualities of “LOA.” But, you know, at the same time, I realized that I was just setting the bar higher for myself (laughs). Keiichi Arawi, who wrote the comic the anime is based on, said he wanted to express “his memories of childhood, just laughing away without a care in the world and experiencing pure joy.” I wanted to write lyrics that depicted that same childhood purity but blended with the reality that, as an adult, you can’t really live your life that way. Did you get any inspiration for the art style or the way the characters moved? First, I read the entire manga and developed my own mental image. The word “fun” encompasses a lot of different types of fun. CITY is kind of surreal, and it makes you giggle. Also, the characters are running around a lot, so I expressed that feeling of running around in the music. For example, I thought that a chugging beat would convey the feel of the anime. So you decided right away that the tempo would be important. Right. And CITY is about the people of the city, so it has a big cast. I put in clapping and a chorus, like lots of different people clapping and the people of the city all singing along. It was like I could hear that music coming out of the pages of the manga. So after you got this mental image of the sound you wanted, how did you come up with the melody? The whole structure—verse, bridge, chorus—all came to me at once. I was getting ready to go out, and boom! It feels strange even to me, but when I’m not planning to create a song, one will just come to me. So I made a voice recording of my ideas right away. Is this something that’s happened to you in the past, too? Yes, several times. But they’re not always winners. Every once in a while it’ll just be terrible (laughs). So I was lucky this time. Plus, the melody fit right in with the kind of sound I was imagining, so it surprised even me. Like I said earlier, when they first approached me about making the theme song, there was a lot of pressure and I was really nervous, but when the song came to me, I was like “Yes, this is it! I’ve got this!” I felt so relieved. The theme of this song, whose lyrics include “let’s go meet again,” is “reunion.” This has a lot of meanings, right? Reuniting with your childhood self, back when you’d laugh without a care in the world, or meeting friends again, or even meeting yourself again, as a “new you.” Right. The song is about the desire for reunions like that. Wanting to reunite. Wanting to meet again. Those were the kinds of desires I had in mind when I wrote the song. I wanted it to have that spirit of meeting up with everyone, reminiscing about childhood, laughing, and getting through the hard times and the loneliness together to approach the future with optimism. The first line of the song, “Hello, Dear my friends,” has that same spirit of reunion, and it makes it clear who you’re singing to. This line came to me together with the melody. Then I wrote the rest of the lyrics by working forward from this first line. In the chorus, you sing “The rain has stopped, let’s sing together.” It points out that the rain always stops sometimes. The night is always followed by the dawn. Exactly. And this anime is set at the end of the
