Latto Shares Dating Tips & Teases Her New Music Era

Latto spent a summer Friday giving Billboard the kind of relationship advice that’s equal parts real and unapologetically confident. Fresh off dropping her first solo single of 2025, “Somebody,” and with a new album on the horizon, she’s in a winning season — and ready to tease what’s next. Days earlier, Latto starred in a playful new D’USSÉ campaign that finally addresses years of internet obsession around “her man, her man, her man,” the long-rumored, unconfirmed partner fans have speculated about for ages. The short film cheekily reveals that her mystery man is actually the D’USSÉ VSOP Magnum Edition bottle, set in a dimly lit booth where Latto praises her “date” for being rich, bold and smooth. Explore See latest videos, charts and news Since the ad plays off dating and relationships and it’s all about D’USSÉ Fridays, it felt fitting to catch up with Latto on a Friday to talk about exactly that. She shared her best advice for dating in 2025, teased the new era she’s stepping into, reflected on what it really takes to lock down a woman like her and much more. You’ve been killing it across the board. What does a ‘win’ look like for Latto right now, personally and professionally? I would say personally, maybe like some D’USSÉ Peach Lemonade, good food, go home to my man, some good music, good vibes. And then, professionally, I would say another D’USSÉ Peach Lemonade, good music. Yeah, I think professional and personally might be the same win. This D’USSÉ campaign was super smart and playful. What made you want to reveal your ‘mystery man’ as the D’USSÉ bottle? I think it’s just that people are nosy, it’s an internet thing. So, when D’USSÉ wanted to play off that, I was like, sure, why not tease the people? You said in the teaser, “it’s not just anybody.” What are the qualities that make someone not just anybody in your eyes, especially when it comes to dating? I mean, I hinted on it a little bit in the teaser, so I’m gonna double down on that: rich, bold, big energy, heavy. He talks heavy. Smooth. I love a smooth guy. Confident guy. Dating has changed a lot, especially for someone in your position. What’s your best advice for dating in 2025? I think I stumbled upon my person by just investing in and building myself up. Then I attracted someone who was on the same wavelength, the same frequency. Too many times, we try to chase it instead of being it ourselves. When you are that, it naturally attracts to you. You gotta be that first, that’s step one. We all see the memes about “locking down Latto” — but what does it really take to lock down a woman like you? I am a very loyal person, so I value loyalty, just having my back and being there for me. Aside from doing things for me, what he has to do is be confident. A confident man is going to respect you, respect himself and carry himself a certain way while respecting the relationship. So yeah, I’d go back to the confidence thing — that’s probably number one. Then loyalty. What’s a nonnegotiable for a first date with Latto? I would say meeting somewhere public. Baby it’s 2025, and we ain’t trying to be seen with each other when we don’t even know each other yet. We know how quick people put two and two together. It’s gotta be a private vibe, even if it’s a movie or dinner. You’ve kept your relationship private for a while. How important is that privacy for you, and does it help keep things real? Privacy a hundred thousand percent keeps things real. It keeps people out of your business. Evil eyes are real, people will hate and wish bad on you. I’d rather have people out my business. I think that’s the main thing to success in a relationship: privacy, all the time. We wanna call our homegirl and tell her all our business or post your man on Instagram, you’re just inviting too many people into the energy. At the end of the day, it’s supposed to be just you two against the world. You just dropped the “Chicken Grease” video today, what inspired the vibe and look for that? Sugar Honey Iced Tea turns one [on Aug. 9], so I wanted to do a couple of things for my fans and that was one of them. It was hard to choose which video to shoot, but it’s summer, I’ve got big things popping right now, it’s giving “Chicken Grease.” I wanted it to feel Southern, so we shot it in Atlanta. We also shot some while I was on vacation in Turks, we wanted fresh energy. And of course, I had to have T.I. in the video obviously. With a new album on the horizon, what sound and message are you bringing with this next chapter? I think the people are gonna have to wait and see that one. Sugar Honey Iced Tea was my homage to my city — it was like, don’t ever get it twisted, I’m gonna get in that booth and rep where I’m from. But this next one, I don’t like giving too much away. It’s definitely a new era, though. They’re gonna have to be prepared.  You can’t tease anything? Not one thing?  I really can’t — I’m just going with the flow. I don’t wanna prematurely speak on anything that could change. But I’m recording, and I’m happy. I came back from Europe on a whole different vibe. I came back from Turks on a whole different vibe. Now I’m back, popping all types of shit about D’USSÉ in the music. It’s constantly evolving, so I don’t even wanna leave any Easter eggs yet. How much does your personal experiences, relationships, wins, struggles, show up in your new music? So often. I’m damn near in my notes all the time. Anytime something happens, I’m writing it

Dolly Parton’s Advice for Kelly Clarkson After Brandon Blackstock’s Death

Dolly Parton has some sage advice for those grieving the loss of loved ones. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight posted Monday (Aug. 11), the country discussed whether she had had a chance to reach out to fellow singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson after the recent passing of the latter’s ex-husband, music manager Brandon Blackstock, who was also the former stepson of Reba McEntire. Parton said she had not yet. “We’ve been so involved in all this stuff here, but I will, I’ll catch up with her,” she shared. “I love Reba and I love Kelly.” Blackstock died Aug. 7 at the age of 48, following a three-year battle with melanoma. He and Clarkson were wed from 2013 to 2022. McEntire was married to Blackstock’s father, music manager Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 to 2015. Parton has been navigating her own time of personal grief and loss after the March death of her husband, Carl Dean, to whom she was wed for nearly six decades. As for advice she would offer to McEntire and Clarkson, Parton said, “I think you just have to be grateful for the years that you’ve had with someone, and you just try to remember the very best of all that, and take their energy that they had given you then and just kind of recycle that and let that become a part of you. Just honor their memory and know that they are in a better place than we are these days.” Following Blackstock’s passing, Starstruck Entertainment, the company that Narvel owned and that Brandon worked at, shared a statement. “It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.” Get weekly rundowns straight to your inbox Sign Up Source link

Jonas Brothers Reveal ‘Camp Rock 3’ Plans on ‘Hot Ones Versus’: Watch

Joe Jonas might catch some heat from the bosses at Disney for seemingly letting a Camp Rock-related secret slip on Hot Ones Versus — but at least he avoided eating a super spicy chicken wing. While facing off against his brothers/bandmates Kevin and Nick on the episode posted Tuesday (Aug. 12), the DNCE frontman appeared to reveal that a Camp Rock 3 is in the works. When challenged to either read his most recent Notes app entry or take a bite of a “death wing,” Joe prioritized his taste buds over any NDA he may or may not have in place with a certain entertainment giant. “Read Camp Rock 3,” he said as silence fell over the set. “It’s the truth. It’s literally right here.” The trio and Hot Ones crew then burst out laughing at the unplanned revelation — that a script for a third Camp Rock movie appears to exist — as Kevin shrugged, admitting, “That’s a pretty good one.” “Sorry, Disney!” Joe added. So there you have it. Though Disney has not publicly indicated that another Camp Rock is in the works, the Jo Bros seem to at least be considering reprising their roles in a follow-up to 2010’s Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, which premiered on Disney Channel two years after the original Camp Rock first aired. In the franchise, the Jonases played three brothers who formed a boy band called Connect 3 — sound familiar? — starring opposite Demi Lovato’s leading lady, Mitchie Torres. Billboard has reached out to Disney for comment. Regardless of whether Camp Rock 3 comes to fruition, the timing of Joe’s spontaneous reveal does seem like kismet. Just two days prior to the Hot Ones Versus premiere, the brothers reunited with Lovato and performed Camp Rock hits “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” at the Jonas Brothers’ kickoff anniversary tour show in New Jersey. But for now, the Jonas Brothers are focusing on band activities. In addition to touring, the band is also in the midst of promoting new album Greetings From Your Hometown, which dropped Aug. 8. ‘Magic City’ Atlanta Screening Features Jermaine Dupri, 2 Chainz

Some moviegoers in Southeast Atlanta likely encountered a surprise when they arrived at AMC Madison Yards on Monday evening (Aug. 11), as a few celebrity sightings accompanied their wait in line for popcorn. Explore See latest videos, charts and news Jermaine Dupri, 2 Chainz, Young Dro and others were at the theater for a screening of Starz’ Magic City: An American Fantasy docuseries. Attendees of the screening watched the first two episodes of the five-part documentary, which first premiered at SXSW in 2024 and chronicles the founding and impact of Atlanta’s most influential strip club. Magic City is known to most people as a popular inspiration for the city’s hip-hop artists, and the docuseries zooms in on why. Cecil “DC, the Brain Supreme” Glenn – one half of the rap group Tag Team and a former DJ for the strip club – tells the story of how the group’s platinum single “Whoomp! (There It Is)” was inspired by Magic City. The music video featured dancers from the club, just like OutKast’s “B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad).”  Big Boi appears in the documentary to explain how the strip club was used as a testing ground for the record. “I think it’s more magical than Disney world,” the rapper says of the club at one point in the series. He appears in the production alongside many other celebrities, including rappers Killer Mike, 2 Chainz, Drake and Nelly, former athletes Shaquille O’Neal and Dominique Wilkins, and former Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.  Dupri and Drake are two artists who have openly celebrated the strip club, both in lyrics and interviews. They play a hands-on role in this production, too, with Dupri and Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment serving as executive producers. Cole Brown, creator and executive producer of the series, acknowledged Dupri before the screening began, and expressed amazement over the fact that a conversation first had in the producer’s studio had given way to the documentary. Michael Mauldin, the former record executive and father of Dupri, was also in attendance, and served alongside his son as an executive producer on the series. The series doesn’t solely focus on music — it also features current and past dancers, tracing back to the late ‘80s, as well as interviews with the club’s founder and former owner Michael “Mr. Magic” Barney and his family. While episode one chronicles Barney’s move from New Jersey to Atlanta and the founding of the strip club, it does so among the backdrop of Atlanta’s efforts to become a Black mecca.  After the credits rolled and the lights came on in the dark theater, 2 Chainz and Young Dro could be seen standing and taking photos with Mr. Magic. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, neurosurgeon and CNN’s chief medical correspondent, stepped in to shake the strip club owner’s hand and praise the production. The celebration continued in the theater’s lobby, with food catered by Magic City before ending with an afterparty at the actual strip club, serving as a perfect curtain call for the night and the venue’s 40th anniversary.  The first episode of the five-part documentary will air on the streamer starting Friday (Aug. 15) at 10 p.m., with subsequent episodes airing weekly on Fridays at 9 p.m. Source link

Eve Reflects on ‘Who’s That Girl?’ & ‘Let Me Blow Ya Mind’: Watch

Eve sat down with Billboard for a trip down memory lane, as the Philly native recalled some of the stories behind the hits in her decorated career. The Gwen Stefani-assisted “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” is still Eve’s “favorite record to perform” to this day after peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. “That is probably my favorite record,” she shares. “Obviously, Dre did the beat, Scott Storch on the keys. I’ve known Scott Storch since I was 14 in Philly.” Eve knew it was Gwen Stefani or bust as a feature. “I did not want anyone else. I felt it had to be her because I could hear her voice on it,” she adds of the singer. Explore See latest videos, charts and news With Dr. Dre involved, Eve explains that he’s the ultimate producer who can take tracks to another level with his musical prowess. “As I was writing, it’s not so much that he jumps in to say this or that, but it’s how you say or deliver certain things and that makes a difference,” she says. Eve returned the favor and scored another top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with Stefani when the duo reunited for “Rich Girl” in 2004. “This was the first time I’d gone into the studio with a woman, especially in a different genre, to watch a different writing style,” she adds of working with the No Doubt singer. Turning the clock back, “Who’s That Girl?” remains a staple of Eve’s catalog, as the 2001 Scorpion anthem peaked inside the Hot 100’s top 50. “I love that record. We kinda took over The Hit Factory, like Ruff Ryders,” she recalls. “We all kinda were like, ‘This is out of here.’ … That song takes me right back to Miami.” Watch the full interview with Eve running through her Billboard chart history above. Taylor Swift’s New Album ‘Life of a Showgirl’ Announced: Fans React

Taylor Swift gave fans the best news they could possibly ask for on Tuesday (Aug. 12) — that she has a new album on the way. After launching a mysterious countdown on her website and sending Swifties into an anxious frenzy, the pop star finally confirmed through a teaser for boyfriend Travis Kelce’s upcoming New Heights podcast episode that after months of dropping Easter eggs — the orange Eras Tour outfits, the 12 letter I’s in her letter about reclaiming her masters, the 12 Taylor Nation pictures — her 12th studio LP, The Life of a Showgirl, is coming soon. And though the title of the album is the only known detail so far, Swift’s fanbase is overflowing with excitement and predictions for the hitmaker’s next era. “can’t wait for taylor to release my new favorite taylor swift album to go along with my other favorite taylor swift albums,” one person wrote on X. A second fan rejoiced, “HALLELUJAH WE ARE CLOWNS NO MORE! WELCOME HOME THE LIFE OF A SHOWGIRL.” “finding out that a new taylor swift album is coming out is a feeling that i can only describe as the same as drinking 17 brown sugar shaken espressos,” a third person added. Several fans mentioned feeling like they were experiencing Swiftie “zoomies” in reaction to the news — “Taylor Swift zoomies are at an all time high rn y’all I’m watching the eras tour and RUNNING around my apartment trying to make the time go faster,” one person shared — while one listener declared that she was “bouncing around my room like a feral cat” with excitement. Many Swifties wasted no time in theorizing about the possible sound and subject matter of The Life of a Showgirl, which will mark the hitmaker’s first LP since 2024’s 17-week Billboard 200-topping effort The Tortured Poets Department. “going from TTPD, an album about fame and vulnerability and the toll it takes on her personhood and mental health to The Life Of A Showgirl, which is another angle on fame,” one fan mused. “(and maybe a more empowering angle?) I’m SOOOOO excited to hear what she has to say in these songs.” “the life of a showgirl makes me feel like she’s aboutta bust out of the TTPD insane asylum with the most insane stories and she’s gonna be loud about em,” agreed another Swiftie. “All I know is that Taylor is about to treat us to an incisive retrospective on her entire life as a ‘showgirl,’” one listener wrote. “The loss of her innocence, the loves and lives she sacrificed to scrutiny, and the weight of being a woman in the public eye. Looks like TTPD was only the beginning.” But it wasn’t just the average Swifties who were excited about the upcoming project. King Swiftie himself (aka Flavor Flav), shared the pop superstar’s image of the sparkly orange vinyl with the matching lock on Instagram, while New York City’s Empire State Building’s Instagram account shared a photo of the landmark lit up in the same orange, captioning the post, “Onto the next era.” Though fans are clearly well and truly hyped for The Life of a Showgirl, Swift still has a lot to reveal about the project. She’s expected to share more details in her full guest episode of New Heights — which drops Wednesday evening (Aug. 13) — but for now, all Swifties have to go off of is a clip posted to the podcast’s social media accounts. “I wanted to show you something,” she says in the video, carefully taking out a blurred vinyl from a “T.S.” brief case. “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.” Source link

Taylor Swift’s 50 Top Songs on Billboard Hot 100 Chart

At 12:12 a.m. ET on Aug. 12, Taylor Swift revealed her forthcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The set will surely be another Billboard chart behemoth for the superstar, kicking off her next era in a chart career that began 19 years ago. On the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated Sept. 23, 2006, Swift made her arrival as her debut single, “Tim McGraw,” entered at No. 86. (It was already scaling the Hot Country Songs chart at the time.) Since then, Swift has become one of the most accomplished artists in the Hot 100’s entire history. As of the Hot 100 dated Aug. 16, 2025, Swift boasts 264 career charted titles – the most among women. Her 59 top 10s and 165 top 40 hits (of which “Tim McGraw” became her first, rising to No. 40) are also the most among women, while her 12 No. 1s place her in a tie for the sixth-most leaders among all acts. Swift, having deftly traversed country, pop, adult alternative and more genres, has consistently added to her Hot 100 legacy. In 2012, she scored her first No. 1 with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” while in 2021, she defied the belief that pop music caters only to shorter attention spans, as, thanks to an update of a fan favorite, she notched the longest No. 1 single in the survey’s archives: “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version),” at 10 minutes and 13 seconds in length. A year later, Swift achieved the unprecedented feat of monopolizing the Hot 100’s top 10 in a single frame, as, on the chart dated Nov. 5, 2022, she infused the region with 10 tracks from her 2022 album Midnights, led by the No. 1 launch of the set’s lead single, “Anti-Hero.” On the May 4, 2024, Hot 100 she rewrote her own record, charting the entire top 14 titles with songs from her LP The Tortured Poets Department. Meanwhile, beyond her chart triumphs, Swift was honored as the first Woman of the Decade at Billboard’s 2019 Women In Music celebration, not just for her commercial success, but for her commitment to protecting creative rights, music education, literacy programs, cancer research, disaster relief and the Time’s Up initiative. Plus, when she was unable to reclaim the masters of her first six albums, she forged a new path by re-recording her catalog, and earning even more chart honors in the process, including her 2023 Hot 100 No. 1 “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version) [From the Vault].” (Swift revealed on May 30, 2025, that she had regained ownership of her masters from Shamrock Capital.) Of all of Swift’s songs, which are her biggest Hot 100 hits? Browse the list below, ranking her top titles from No. 50 to No. 1. Taylor Swift’s 50 Biggest Billboard Hot 100 hits ranking is based on weekly performance on the Hot 100 (through Aug. 16, 2025). Songs are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at lower spots earning the least. Due to changes in chart methodology over the years, eras are weighted differently to account for chart turnover rates during various periods. “Fearless” Fearless‘ title track braved a No. 9 peak. “Bejeweled” The dazzling Midnights track peaked at No. 6 on the Hot 100. “Sparks Fly” This Speak Now fan favorite captivated fans like a fireworks display with a No. 17 peak. “Begin Again” “Begin Again” began with a spot in the top 10 upon its release, debuting at a peak position of No. 7. “Picture To Burn” Image Credit: Courtesy Photo This fiery debut-era hit scorched past the top 40 benchmark with a No. 28 peak in 2008. “Should’ve Said No” Swift’s uptempo country jam, the final single off her 2006 self-titled debut, peaked at No. 33 on the Hot 100. “Midnight Rain” The regretful Midnights track peaked at No. 5 on the Hot 100 in November 2022. “Everything Has Changed” feat. Ed Sheeran The Red duet peaked at No. 32 on the Hot 100 after being released as a single in 2013. “Tim McGraw” Image Credit: Courtesy Photo Swift’s Hot 100 debut — the country love song that started it all — reached No. 40 on the Hot 100. It also became her first of 36 top 10s to date on Hot Country Songs. “Eyes Open” The second Hunger Games soundtrack single from Swift, “Eyes Open” peaked at No. 19 on the Hot 100 following its 2012 release. “Red” The rockin’ promo single from the 2012 album of the same name exploded onto the Hot 100 at No. 6. “Down Bad” The track from 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department debuted at its No. 2 Hot 100 high. “Ours” Swift’s plaintive, banjo-featuring single off Speak Now debuted and peaked at No. 13 on the Hot 100. “Mean” Image Credit: Courtesy Photo Swift clapped back at her critics (rumors suggest music industry analyst Bob Lefsetz as the specific target) with “Mean,” which debuted (and peaked) at No. 11 in 2010. The track won Swift a pair of Grammys at the 2012 ceremony: best country song and best country solo performance. “Highway Don’t Care” Tim McGraw with Taylor Swift Swift revisited her roots and, in the process, teamed with the title subject of her debut hit with this feature on McGraw’s 2013 album Two Lanes of Freedom. The collab drove to No. 22 on the Hot 100. “Fifteen” This confessional 2009 song — which shouts out the singer’s original #squad member and best friend Abigail Anderson — evidently resonated with teens everywhere, peaking at No. 23. “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” When Swift rerecorded her 2012 LP Red in 2021 as Red (Taylor’s Version), she expanded “All Too Well” to its original 10-minute length. The new version topped the Hot 100 and became the longest song to hit No. 1 on that chart. “22” The Swift/Max Martin collab “22” was the sixth Red single to hit the Hot 100’s top 20, peaking at No. 20.

Travis Kelce Calls Taylor Swift an ‘Athlete,’ Hails ‘Mind-Blowing’ Work

Travis Kelce knows all about sacrificing, training and running your body ragged in order to play like a champ on game day. The 12-year veteran tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs with three Super Bowl rings on his resumé talked to GQ for a new cover story about the laser-focused offseason training regimen aimed at getting the team back to the big game after a tough blow-out loss earlier this year to rivals the Philadelphia Eagles. Not for nothing, he also said that as hard as he hits the gym, his girlfriend of two years, Taylor Swift, is just a much of a gym rat when it comes to prep for her shows. “I hadn’t experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions,” Kelce said in the story that delves into the couple’s closely held relationship, which has played out on phone screens on any given Sunday over the past two years as Swift has cheered Kelce on and he returned the favor by attending her epic, three-plus hour Eras Tour gigs around the world. “That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows,” he said. “She may not think of herself as an athlete. She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But I’ve seen what she goes through. I’ve seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and it’s mind-blowing.” Swift famously trained for the show by performing the entire career-spanning set while running on a treadmill, something Kelce said was super intense, even for a dedicated athlete like him. He described the stage for the show as “football-field-sized computer,” one that got “scorching hot” on stops in places like Singapore. “All of a sudden you’re feeling the fumes from the computer and you’re feeling the fumes from the sun and you’re doing a show for three hours with a lot of energy, bringing it every single song,” he said of Swift’s never-say-quit perseverance. “That is arguably more exhausting than how much I put in on a Sunday, and she’s doing it three, four, five days in a row.” And while he is a global superstar in his own right now — guest hosting SNL in 2023, appearing in the new Happy Gilmore 2 sequel, hosting his New Heights podcast with brother Jason Kelce and the Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? series — when it comes to his life in SwiftLand, he’s happy to just be a “plus one.” Kelce said he is excited to go to Swift’s shows and be a fan, because he is a fan. “I’m a fan of music. I’m a fan of art. And it’s so cool that I get to experience her being that plus one for me on the football field…. I feel that same enjoyment every time she comes to my shows,” he said of Swift’s by-now routine appearances in the family sky box cheering him on during the season. And while he’s been introduced to arguably the biggest pop fandom in the world as half of one of the most-watched couples on the planet, Kelce isn’t afraid to take credit for making Swift a fan of his world in the process. “I sort of made her a football fan,” Kelce told the magazine, which described him as speaking freely about his partner with the “confident adoration of a sturdy relationship,” while noting that his pride is not of the macho or overprotective chivalrous type, but more of the “immaculate,” selfless variety. “She is the most engulfed fan now. She knows what the injury reports look like. She understands what special situations are, third and short—all these things because she just naturally loves to hear about my job.” He also can’t get enough of her shows, marveling at the impact Swift has on her followers and the warm pull of her celebrity, a rare gift that can make a 65,000-capacity football stadium feel like a living room. “People gravitate towards how she performs and how she makes it feel like the entire stadium is in this little room with her,” he said. “She is so good at mesmerizing everybody and making everybody feel like it’s an intimate situation. I think that alone — there is so much calm and coolness. She’s beautiful. She’s up there making everyone feel at ease.” As he gears up for the upcoming 2025-2026 football season, Kelce will have plenty more chances to see Swift in the stands, and, maybe, on stage again. The singer surprise announced her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Tuesday morning (Aug. 12) and while no specifics on the LP have been announced yet, it’s possible Swift will reveal some details on Wednesday (Aug. 13) when she makes her first appearance on the New Heights pod.
